While I don't really want to see us throw a bunch of money at Dragic, you have to keep in mind the sad reality that Kobe staying healthy all season is unlikely. Signing a PG doesn't automatically mean Clarkson is riding the bench. & looking at the big picture beyond next season, we'd have a starting SG & PG in place after Kobe retires.

I'd like JC handling the ball. I trust his decision-making.

Of course basketball is everywhere, specially NBA is really popular in Asia. Recently, the Mongolian Basketball league started bringing players from overseas. They even organized a tryout in the US last year. IIRC, our 2nd round pick of 2011(Chu Madum) played in the Mongolian Basketball league a couple of years ago.
I watched a few highlights of Smush Parker and his team. His team lost in 1st round of playoff. He didn't put crazy stats but had really good all around games.

Dammit. Why is our FO so dimwitted?

You have a good developing player on your hands. He also plays the same position (and he IS a PG).

It's fine not to trust him with the franchise keys just yet and bring in a capable backup on the wrong side of 30 to fallback upon if/when things go south.
It's totally different to relegate him to backup and bring in starting PG that is on the wrong side of 30 and pay him 20mil/year!

Bring in a younger Andre Miller (stature-wise), whatever that is (Jack? Calderon?) and let JC gather some experience.

I am also pretty positive that playing JS at SG, again, will just hinder his progress. And there is Kobe. And possibly Young. And Lin? And perhaps also
    a pick?

Dammit. How hard can it be?

I'd honestly rather overpay for Dragic than love. Moving Clarkson to SG would be an easier transition than Randle to SF. I don't mind the concept of him playing some minutes at SF, but I don't believe that should be his primary position.
