Does he get a kickback from the AP for doing their job for them?

60 seconds in to First Take and this is clearly about Magic doing damage control for Magic. He's explicitly calling out Rob for backstabbing. He said the Buss brothers wanted more power. It's not about whether what he's saying is right or wrong, but this is 100% about making Magic look good.

Magic also said that Rob was gunning for his job. Magic told him that he was only in this for 3 years and was going to help groom him to replace him, but he was power hungry and was hearing from people in and out of the organization, leaks about Rob essentially being a snake.

Buss brothers want more power and Magic was working with them. Grooming them for when the time was right.

Magic was warned by other agents about how Rob is.

He thinks there are too many cooks in the kitchen and too many voices (Linda, Kurt, Tim, Rob, Phil) in Jeanie's ear and too many that think they have a say in final decision that were supposed to be his call.

Manned up for letting Lopez walk.

Couldn't offer what Julius wanted (2 year vs 1 year)

Not a Zu fan. Questioned his numbers since he left. Mentioned that he didn't play vs GS. Zo and Bron made him.

Knows they needed more shooting. Accepted blame there.

His top two targets this summer would've been:
    1) Kawhi
    2) Kyrie

So he directly points at Rob for the "not in office" stuff but didn't actually refute that fact that he wasn't in the office and even backed up that comment by saying he has ALOT of other revenue generating business that made MORE than what he was getting as BPO. I will give him that pt bout to many people in Jeanie's ears and the part that he actually didn't get to make final calls, but then again look at his "i'm out in 3yrs" comment, why would anyone trust your words or back your vision when you were gona be out in 3yrs? Magic basically just made the FO dysfunction on full blast and yet here's Jeanie still talking to him as bff (2nd in line to Linda) and still taking advice from Magic, yea good luck to us all with Jeanie, we're doomed and I dont even care anymore what happens this off-season, Jeanie will lead us straight into darkness.

Even if everything he’s saying is true, airing it out like this makes the Lakers look really bad. Who the heck would want to deal with this FO via trade or FA?

magic said in the interview that when jeanie first approached him about the job he made it clear to her that he wasn't going to step away from his other businesses and that he'd be "in and out" of the job

then he gets upset over pelinka saying he's never in the office?

He probably did it on purpose to have Rob fail. He sounds like a bitter ex in all of this. I think it comes off worse about him than about the team.

this is a hard one to decide who's fault it was, Jeanie for ignoring the fact that Magic already made such declaration prior to taking the job and she still hired him or Magic for talking big bout how he'll FULLY dedicate himself to the job at the expense of his other stuff....just a cluster F of a situation and one that we the fans will suffer indefinetly as our owner (which is un-movable) is now as shown to be as incompetent as ever, there is no difference between her, Dolan, Sarver, etc. to me anyways
