Didn’t you say Rambii wanted Hollins? https://www.silverscreenandroll.com...e-buss-wheres-rob-pelinka-head-coach-contract
I heard on espn 710 that Mgmt. did offer Williams same 3yr deal as Lue....so obviously nobody has any clue what the FO did or didn't do but we do know for sure the Rambis were involved even though most of us dont believe they should be.
Hi guys, I snuck away to watch the draft lottery. Will get to everything after. Fingers crossed!!! Best, Mr. Rambis
Hi everyone, after the shock from the lottery wore off, I had a chance to go through many of the posts today. Looks like there's a fair bit of skepticism directed towards me. Just want to say I completely understand and will continue to insist that you take my postings with a grain of salt! I just saw earlier that Marc Stein, a well respected ESPN reporter, had incorrectly yet confidently stated Coach Brown would be fired following a series loss. Information comes from a variety of sources and the more indirection there is, the more things get skewed! I have tried to stray away from making broad definitive statements, especially after I went around claiming Paul George was coming to the Lakers a few years back. Nobody could have foreseen that tampering nonsense but oh well! Anyways, I just tell you what I hear. But things change, people have various agendas, and ultimately life's too short. Just take things as they come! Best, Mr. Rambis
Hey guys, great questions. I'll try to keep my answers brief -Hollins wasn't in play until Lue and Williams were off the table. -Williams was never offered a deal, formally -The Rambis folks were creating a lot of unrest in the front office to stall out the Williams negotiations by making it look like Lue was the prime target, so that Williams would take another deal. As far as I know, they weren't strongly backing Williams and even voiced strong concerns about him, but they stopped backing Lue after Williams went with the Suns. They were all over the place, just trying to create a lot of uncertainty through a variety of different angles, such as Jason Kidd, until Kurt could fill the power vacuum. Their ultimate plan failed, but they are still trying to get Kurt his share of power beyond coaching decisions.
Any insight into why the Pelicans and Gayle Benson hate the Lakers so much and don't seem to want to deal with us? https://www.lakersnation.com/nba-ru...davis-to-lakers-over-my-dead-body/2019/05/17/ You had mentioned there was more to the NO story that you would share when you had time.
Like Big Head Klutch and Big Head Magic (?) thinking they could hatch a scheme to steal their franchise star a year and a half before his contract was up?
It's a very long story and I don't have the time to get into the details of what went down over several months regarding Davis. It might be easier for you to just ask me specific questions. But regarding what you just asked, I'll do my best to summarize. -Gayle thinks Klutch (Rich Paul) & Lakers FO (Magic) conspired to make AD demand a trade right before the deadline so Boston couldn't participate and Pelicans would forced to send him to the Lakers. -In reality she's mostly correct, but Magic wasn't involved, which pissed him off. It was actually entirely Rich, LeBron, and Davis who had been discussing this since last summer. They thought Klutch had more power than it actually did and thought they were pulling off a very clever leverage play to send AD to the Lakers. In reality it all blew up. -Gayle was so mad that she actually called Dan, as AEG has helped her with some Saints promotional stuff in the past. She screamed at him and told him to tell Jeanie that nobody in a big market would be able to control her and take advantage of her. She thought she was being looked at as a vulnerable woman leader. Safe to say, AEG has not been contracted any work for the Saints since. Hope this helps.
Hi guys, this is a serious question for you all. Normally, I've been very conservative in the information I pass on. Sometimes AEG is well-connected to what's going on in the Lakers, and at other times they are more focused on media/business in general and the information I get is sparse or outdated. It looks like though, based on how everything I've been hearing has been subsequently leaked, AEG is currently very tied into what's going on, which makes sense given the disorganization in the front office on the Buss side. I've been offering very conservative views on what I hear, even if it's more definitive information, so if you would like, I can start passing info a little more aggressively. There's a greater chance I'm wrong, but given how it's all being leaked anyways, I'm not sure it matters. Up to you. Here's a few examples of what I'm talking about in case any of this is unclear. I'm slowly getting the hang of this multi-quote thing https://www.sportingnews.com/us/nba...hony-davis-targets/1mjuyxj5zc3ha1n8ie8zsqd1z9 Not trying to "prove" my information is right. Just showing that this stuff is leaking from somewhere after I get a whiff of it. I want to do right by you folks since you all have been so welcoming, so let me know how free flowing I should be. Of course some things have to be confidential but I'll do my best depending on what folks want. Best Regards, Mr. Rambis
On a phone without access to Metta working the inside of his cheek with his tongue. And not doubting "everything" .... more so the breathless pace of his machevellean (sp?) ascension.
Thanks guys, message received loud and clear. Do note, next week I will be traveling so I won't be as wired in as I normally am. However, ESPN will definitely cover much of this stuff anyways, even if it's slightly delayed. Look for the Lakers to leak a lot of draft related info to the media for optics reasons. Kurt is very involved in the draft process.
@Mr. Rambis I forgot to ask about something you mentioned a while ago... Most young players use drugs and alcohol, you said. Are we talking almost entirely marijuana or are harder drugs common? Thanks.
