It doesn’t really matter at this point, especially if he relents on having Rambis and/or Kidd on his staff, if so this will remain a mess. Also, just looking at Vogel I fear he isn’t the right dude for a LeBron team, he’s going to look like JVG in a year, or a president emerging from office vs entering it.

Like was stated yesterday by someone here accounting for Walton's 1st year after Boron? Key players improved a year?

I like him as the Indy coach... Orlando ruined his rep for me though. I'm ambivalent about this prospective hire

A joke. But then again how could they offer him any longer of a contract than Ty Lue everything considered and him not even being their first choice? Would be a terrible look. I bet he would take 3 years though.

The optics are going to be so bad if we give the next coach 5 years.

I’m good with Vogel. Just add some bright offensive guru not named Kidd or Rambis to his staff.

Vogel is fine. Get Kawhi/Kyrie and go from there. At this point, anything that brings some stability is fine.

We don't have a head coach yet but we do have an assistant coach!

we're gonna look real desperate (we are) if we give vogue a 5-year contract; nonetheless, moving quickly to hire him and build a solid cadre is the only way we regain some semblance of legitimacy as an organization and have a chance at obtaining an all-star in free agency.

will be hard to leverage the current state of affairs even with a new HC/regime, but at least we could say, hey, we're flipping a 180, hop on board the train if you want to be a part of it.

idk, that is really my optimistic take at the moment... was slim pickings and a bad time to need a HC anyway, which is only exacerbated by the horrendous culture/image of our organization.
