It was reported by Woj back about 2 weeks ago that Billups was interviewing for the T-Wolves PBO job, but I haven’t heard a thing since. Seems like a smart dude though, he probably gets a job somewhere sometime. There’s plenty of former players that seem to be able to jump right in and do well right away in high positions, like Elton Brand got the GM job in Philly and he went all in this season, and that team is one win away from the ECF now.

Billups is on the hunt for front office positions. But the last thing he wants to do is start his career in a mess of an FO, and ruin it before he even has a change. He's being very patient. But teams are interested. I don't think he is looking at coaching.

So, out of all the "K's" talk we've been hearing... Kidd is the one we're gonna get LOL.

the utter state of disarray is a new low for this organization -- sort of a double-whammy because there are no big-name coaches available, and there are several high-profile free agents available -- could not be worse timing... how do you even begin to sit down at the negotiation table and seriously recruit/woo these guys?

Now this makes sense! I’d be open to having him be PBO.

Rick Adelman ... now there's a name I haven't heard in awhile. It wasn't his fault he ran into great Laker teams twice during his career. Kobe respected the heck out of him and to this day, I am still disappointed the FO passed him over for Mike Brown in 2011. Okay the FO wanted younger, Adelman was already 65 then, but Kobe would have totally bought into him. He was up for nomination to the HOF this year, he didn't make it, but he should at some point. That said, he will be 73 in June and he's been retired from coaching for 5 years now.

Sigh ... we're stuck watching the FO trainwreck.

All those years we laughed at the Clippers, now the shoe is on the other foot. There isn't a coach out there the FO can get who has Adelman's acumen, let alone pedigree.

    How about PJ Careismo?

Latrell loved that dude. Couldn’t keep his hands off him.

Vogel seems like the best option remaining, I guess by default. I wouldn’t be particularly excited about him.

I have to ask, how does Steve Clifford take basically the same Magic roster to 17 more wins than Vogel?

Yes to Vogel. No to Rambis on the coaching staff. Yes to getting an elite offensive mind to pair.

This literally isn’t hard to mess up. It will be looked down at as a bad move since Lue would have been the correcting coaching hire, but they can make it work.

There’s not enough brain cells at the brunch table to make that happen though.

5 year contract. Let's get ACLU to pile on Lakers too.
