"allegedly" I've even heard rumors of files kept on members across the internets. Probably not true though.
Posts I could give a crap. And then there were the files on select members from CL and LB Bonkscooter was keeping.
Hey @Barnstable if members make a blasphemous claim and don't source their material accordingly, can we call them out on their BS? Asking for a friend, who may or may not be a mod.
Hi all, Not sure if this is the right place for intros. Been a Lakers fan for a long time. But with all the SoCal transplants nowadays and the fact that I am always traveling for work, don't have too many people to discuss the Lakers with. After yesterday's news I was itching to talk more about things, so I looked up some online communities, and well, here we are. More about me: At my current longtime job, I work with top-level AEG execs and have deep relationships with them. This means I often do get some nice insight directly into the Laker's Front Office as to what is going on. It's not related to my day job, but I'm spending a lot of time with them and chat casually about the Lakers a lot. I'm sure with the Internet as it is nowadays you folks have many people falsely claiming to have inside information, so I'll be the first to say take what I have with a grain of salt. I don't have a direct line to Jeanie Buss either, as there is one level of indirection between me and her. BUT I do have a good sense of what the Lakers are thinking and details of things that went down (e.g. with Magic leaving). I'm of course happy to share this information. I won't be breaking major trades or free agency signings anytime soon - there's too much money involved in that, and guys like ESPN and the Athletic directly or indirectly pay for that privilege - you've probably already noticed this with how Ramona spins things for Jeanie to get exclusive access. Though I do know some things ahead of time. With LeBron since he was making waves in the Hollywood Industry all the AEG guys were well aware months before. However I was also told we were signing Tyreke Evans last summer and that fell through last minute, apparently. Anyways to the forum admins - if interested, how should I go about conveying the info I hear? I can create a new topic thread, or should I type in another place? Maybe I can create something where people ask me questions and I can answer or ask the AEG guys about it. Can someone help me set that up? In any case, I look forward to finally having some people to talk Lakers basketball with. Best, Kurt
Can see why you might feel that way. I'll be the first to say don't take anything I say as gospel. I mainly just want to talk Lakers basketball with some actual fans. Just thought some of my insights might be fun to share too, but I of course don't want to cause any problems on your website.
Hi vasashi17, It shows you are a staff member. What would be the best course of action for me here? Thx
^^^Haha...till Barns figures it out, keep posting strong bro! Hit em with everything you got...get all the Lakers dirty laundry out on them clotheslines.
Hi vasashi17, Thx for the reply. Is creating a q&a topic thread appropriate? Or should I post elsewhere.
The other mods can chime in and direct you accordingly. I'm currently serving a suspension which may limit my say on the matter, but I would guess you can open a thread and allow the members to decide it's fate.
Thank you, sir. I will await what others have to say on the matter. I do not want to cause any problems on your lovely website. I am having a lot of fun reading your folks analysis and opinions, though! Smart guys here!
Welcome! We appreciate your kind words but your honestly not seeing us in the greatest of light right now, which I'm sure you can understand given all the recent news on the team. In my 22 years of loving and following this team, its never gotten this bad or approached DEFCON 5.
Completely understand. Don't want to show my age but I've been a fan for a very long time. This is the most unsettling time as a Lakers fan that I've had to endure. At least I'm glad I have a whole community of really intelligent guys to talk to, though. You would think in LA everyone is a diehard Lakers fan, but that's far from the case!!
I’m stunned this doesn’t appear to be sirron. If it is, holy crap Steve-O. Great job! @Mr. Rambis You’re probably confused. There was a longtime member here and even since 2004 at the old Lakers forum by the name of Sirronstuff who was a joker. He had several fake accounts, one of which was Kurt Rambis. Now you as Mr Rambis is hilarious. You seem legit though, so welcome and thank you so much for your info.
