    could be lots of things. first and foremost, woj's butthurtery might just be on display again. another possibility is that the clipps get thompson as the consolation prize when we get leonard.

    i think he stated it vaguely on purpose in order to make the lakers look worse, of course.

    well, lighter-skinned, better shooter, worse shot creator, better defender, and 5 inches taller. one less gf (probably).

    Reports were that FAs/teams didn’t want to deal with the Lakers if they hired a coach/exec that gave Lebron too much power. Whiffing in Lue means we’re getting, like, all the FAs.

    Had they not even looked in his direction, then that's a fair decision based on that concern.

    But to have a two horse coaching race, one of the horses go to phoenix, you enter contract negotiations with the other horse, said horse eating a lakers birthday cake over the weekend, then it all fall apart in full public view making management look even more incompetent.... who knew that was even possible. Very bad look and makes anyone hesitate about jumping on a sinking titanic

    Only way Kyrie makes sense to the Lakers is if the Lakers are able to Anthony Davis this summer.

    Lakers have a good defending, pass first PG at the moment. Lakers would be better off getting a star 2 guard who can shoot.

    i actually think irving is a star 2 guard who can shoot.

    i agree that just irving doesn't make us a legit contender, but it gets us most of the way there. need some defensive role players in the worst way, though.

    I wonder if we can play a game of chicken with Kyrie and Kawhi. Offer the Raptors Ball and Kuz for Kawhi (via him opting in). Then we sign Kyrie. Problem is this only works if Kawhi can walk into our cap space. Kyrie can't sign because of that. I still would obviously want AD over Kyrie, but this puts it more in our hands so to speak.
