If Linda Rambis isn't there, you can bet they will have to conduct a third interview with her present.

It's always something with these idiots. Bartender. Wife of a former lumberjack player.

I wonder whether it is the case of apples falling far from the tree, or rather we simply never heard,
due to media not being what it is today, the stories about the good doctor taking advice from
    one of his girlfriends.

Dr. Buss was smart. He simply didn't luck his way into all that money he used to buy the Lakers. The kids on the other hand are like most rich kids. Given everything based solely on the fact that they share DNA.

Yeah but it's not like Jerry Buss did not attempt to find meaningful jobs for all or most of them in the Lakers or family related organization as best fitting their talents as he determined at that time .... and place them in those positions to hopefully perform well and hopefully progress to more responsibility. Great jobs sure but they weren't sitting around playing video games in their young adulthood.

How come no one here told me this? :speechless: I feel a whole lot better about him having read that. It's as @bfc1125roy has been alluding to from his observations of Lue's coaching and the links he gave to LFR's similar opinions.

As always just leery of an overt to the league appearance of a rubber stamp LeBron influence on the Lakers decisions now. Lue was around some good coaches for sure.

Plus he doesn't want to be viewed as a LeBron lackey.

It does make me feel a lot better about Lue for sure. I still would prefer Monty tho.

Lue can coach guys. He's not a bad choice at all. But people just think of him as the "Bron's guy". That's too bad.

It's true, there's no escaping it... Lue is Legroin's guy, and to an extent, we are pigeonholed into hiring him now... not that it's necessarily a bad thing. It's just that Monty is considered more of a gamble than Lue, and given the tumult and lack of direction within the organization at this point, the optics are better with a Lue hire.

He put together the game plan that brought the Cavs back from being down 3-1 in the Finals to beat the greatest regular season team of all time.

    We could do worse.

Thanks for those quotes. Now I wonder if Williams is as good? When in doubt in these types of situations I always go by what coach does Anthony Davis really .... really want to play for? LeBron should definitely be aware of that angle in getting AD to fully commit to getting to LA by latest next summer, if he can't control where NO trades him this summer.

We'll get an idea of their X's and O's this week - although I think Lue is better from what I read so far...we will see.

Monty is a bigger risk, and I'm banking that he learned and has grown from his stints with SAS and Philly...he's still my preference.

    No worries bud!

Here's vid to give those comments some context. And Ramona is doubling down in that it looks like LA getting a new Prez is more wishful thinking done by the media instead of what Jeanie is actively pursuing. Things could eventually change tho.

Head coach coming into an Arena with headphones. Coach who had a panic attack like some housewife with 3 kids. You hire any of these clowns and all you get is Lebron plus 4 offense with no identity other than that. With players who have no respect for Lebron. Good luck.

As someone who suffers from panic attacks, it isn’t a joke, or something to be equated to a housewife with a large workload. It’s about anxiety and mental health. It’s a large reason I wouldn’t hire Lue, because what coaching job is more stressful than the Lakers WITH LeBron, but it’s not something I look at as weakness.
