Another day, more ammo against Rob being nothing more than a colossal eff up. Wake up Jeanie.

There is no President, yet - IMO. I don't think Jeanie is that smart - I'll eat crow if I'm wrong, but I seriously doubt she is communicating with anybody beyond Linda and Rob...LOL.

It’s cool, who needs Anthony Davis when you have a loyal, well-liked by Linda Rambis, stand-up guy like Rob Pelinka? They can all hang out together and reminisce about the days when we were actually good.

Pat Riley to the Lakers rumors are picking up steam. This would be great news for LA.

I’m not buying the Pat Riley stuff, because he shot it down when asked like a week ago, but here’s where it’s coming from.

What I do hope is true, at the very least, is that Jeanie is indeed looking to make a splash, because that wouldn’t be Rambis or Rob, and that’s the first time I’ve heard anything like that about Jeanie since Magic quit.

This would be so amazing. Riley has a proven track record as a coach and executive. Proven recruiter and pitch guy. I have faith he has vision for an offensive and defensive system and will get us the right players. I also like that it sends the message that we don't cater to LeBron.

I'm wary that Riles capped out a mediocre Miami team but we need a someone to whip this team into shape.

I don't want Riley Goodness. Does everybody have to be a former Laker to get the f***** job? Think "outside" the box.

The problem is no one wants this toxic job. At least Riles consider this his "home" and he's someone who personally wants the return of Laker greatness.

At $10 million a season for the position (reportedly), I am certain we can find a qualified person to do the job.

I'm not sure how we get Riley. He is part owner of the Heat. He isn't selling that to come to the Lakers UNLESS he gets part ownership of our team. That requires all the board and Buss kids to probably part with a small part of their stake. I can think of one Buss kid that would give the proverbial middle finger to this. Actually, he'd probably give the literal middle finger too.

That particular Buss kid you are referring to no longer owns a part of the team nor is he on the board. He was bought out. No worries there.

End of subject as far as I'm concerned. .

    perShandel Richardsonof The Athletic:

"I mean, I'm not going to comment on another team's misfortune while they're going through some adversity right now. There's no doubt that I have a history with that team. I was there for 20 years and I have a lot of friends still in the organization. I had a good conversation with Magic after he stepped down and I'm sure they'll work it out. I'm not going to be part of that. That's not what I want to do."

It appears that Rosas (if he is even a likely candidate for the Lakers) won't stay with the Rox.

He was a scout with USA Basketball and that directly ties him to Monty. That's all I got haha.

On February 21, 2017, Buss was fired as head of basketball operations of the Lakers, though he would continue to be a part owner of the team. After a dispute with Jeanie over ownership of the team, Buss was removed as a trustee of the Buss family trust and lost his position on the Lakers board of directors.

I think you're right. He still owns a piece of the team. However, he was removed as a trustee and he is not on the board, so he has no power. They would probably have to give shares to Riley out of their own pie, and leave Jim's alone. It can still be done, as long as they don't touch Jim's piece, I think.

After Riley just shot the whole thing down to the media I'd say not.

And not saying it's freak-out time or time to start doing crazy stuff but just throwing the idea out there:

Has anyone posted this yet? Apparently we have found someone (who is currently running a playoff team) who is running things from the shadows!!!
