That trailer was insane, and I don't even think it showed much in the end. The Luke voiceover though, the star destroyer in the sand, the new stormtroopers and new villain, R2 with what I assume is Luke and a new metal hand, and Han and Chewie. So many chills, and I almost shed a tear from the awesomeness. The new characters look pretty good too, unlike most of the prequels, full of awful ones. The world just looks so real and lived in and so much closer to the originals than the constant, unnecessary green screen of the prequels. The wait will be too long.

Not that I had anything against the first teaser, but this one was SOOOO much better.

I really hope that this is all we get though. I don't need a full trailer that reveals any specific plot details. This gave us everything we need to know to confirm that this is going to be one of the most hype movies ever.

I was at Star Wars Celebration when they showed it. There WERE people weeping. No joke. Only had to get there at 4:00 am to get into one of the offshoot halls.

At Celebration they have an exhibit of some of the actually movie props and costumes, including the much discussed cross guard hilt. Day One (Thursday) was a total nerd fest. Like people looking the part. But yesterday, the crowd looked completely normal. Nerds, Yuppies, Jocks...it just goes to show that the people who make fun of Star Wars nerds are really behind in the times. Star Wars nerds aren't even really nerds anymore. They are the mainstream.

Besides the original characters making a return, I'm just really stoked John Williams is still doing the score. His music, the fanfare, definitely a big part of what makes Star Wars special.

This was one of the main problems I had with Man of Steel. Ditching John Williams masterpiece to listen to Hans Zimmer bang his head into a synthesizer (granted, MoS was probably one of his more "musical" scores). I understand they were trying to reboot everything, but why mess with perfection? Rumor has it Marvel is considering brining back J.K. Simmons to play J. Jonah Jameson. Why couldn't DC have kept that music? But I digress...

I like how Han and Chewie are the ones on the front and not Luke or Leia.

Poor Daisy Ridley. This is her life from here on out with every freaking Star Wars nerd alive. I wonder if she fully grasps what she's gotten herself into.

And on the other hand, were she not in this movie, she'd be known by "who?", or the full "who's Daisy Ridley?". I don't personally see SW defining these young actors as it did decades ago, if that's what you're saying.
