Ramona reported that he’s been a part of the meetings they are having in figuring out what to do next. I hope he’s out but I don’t think anyone has the full story right now.
This is my point exactly, no one really knows anything, everyone is overreacting to every little detail. If you were really “lawyering up” as he put it, you wouldn’t be having meetings with that sole person, they would be suspended.
Obviously not happy with Magic the executive, glad he's no longer in that position. But I don't wan't to stop admiring Magic the player. There's is enough kindle around Magic if a #metoo fire is really what's ahead. Disappointing and depressing honestly.
yeah, annoyed me since day one. you armchaired it, then took the job and did worse. now you're like "armchairing it is better". thanks, buddy. show yourself out. well, and "we didn't have the money for 3 year deals" is obviously patently false. can't and won't are different things. you decided cap space was king, and it led to limited FA options after lebron. i guarantee jeannie didn't say you couldn't sign anyone long-term, and she's the only higher-ranking official. except maybe kurt rambis's wife? fml.
Super, seems completely different to what he was originally saying which was either way Pelinka is gone. Now it’s bad advice.
while im glad hes gone....what hes done as gm n how he quit will set us back way worse than mozdeng or the cp3 fiasco
Maybe you misunderstand. I'm not saying I'm going to become a fan of another team. But this...this is dysfunction on an entirely different level. I would likely just stop following the Lakers and the NBA in general. Why would I waste my time and energy caring about something that has proven to be a complete dumpster fire? It like if you're married to an alcoholic who refuses to seek treatment. Eventually they fall off the wagon so many times you have to leave them. You still love them deep down, but you need to move on in life from a hopeless situation because they refuse to help themselves.
Yeah. Plus it’s just hard to maintain enthusiasm when things just keep getting messed up. Watching games just naturally gets lower and lower on the priority list. I’ll always love this team but they need to start loving all of back by putting a product on the floor that we can root for and an organization in place that can get the job done.
We are not worse, please step away from the Internet and take a breather. We're still in a very good position and being the Lakers President of BB operation position still a #1 sought job in the NBA (per multiple sources). We have Lebron, Kuz, Zo, Ingram and cap space to fill 2 max spots. Relax man, him stepping down might be a great thing for the Lakers after all.
Hence that's why the next step would be the most important stepping stone for this Franchise. I don't see Jeanie making the wrong decision again. She will take her time and put the most experience candidate in the GM and President of BB operation positions (the like of Sam Presti & Bob Meyers). Once the hiring in place, I don't see an issue with us attracting FAs. Like I said, him stepping down might be the best thing happened to this franchise.
wasn't pelinka hired by magic? no point in him sticking around now with magic gone anyways. if he refuses to step down i really hope jeanie gives him the boot
