Magic was right. We had no system on offense and still don’t. That’s not even touching on years of bad rotations and questionable handling of our young players.

Luke had plenty of time and chances to secure this job. If he gets fired it’s on him. He should’ve gotten a real staff instead of his buddies.

all kidding aside though (and its not like he'd be interested anyways) but it would be a big hell no from me in regards to kobe coaching the team

great players never make good coaches (magic and wayne gretzky are perfect examples) and aside from jerry west, great players have shown that they're never good talent evaluators either (like we're currently seeing from magic)

I know it was a joke but f*** no. Bad enough having Bron, but add Woodson or Mike Brown again... I'm done.

Haven't heard this name thrown around... Kevin Ollie. I know he got dismissed after an NCAA investigation last year, but this ain't the NCAA.

There's not much available. I'd settle for a Van Gundy.

Homer pick is university of Memphis coach...

We get a free assistant coach too that way with Lil Penny

**** off Jason with your overt lobbying for a sitting coach's job.

Lakers bring in a retread because they have no clue how to develop a team.

And it obvious with Lebron there, the coach will have to be black otherwise Lebron wont want to listen.

Its unfortunate that the Lakers will be narrow minded on this because I think Jay Wright would be the perfect coach for the Lakers.

Lakers would be better off traded Lebron in the summer. If I was hired to take over, first thing I would do and put all efforts into getting Kawhi, with AD next year.

Why would Jay Wright want any part of leaving a great prestigious gig at a great basketball school to come to this **** show is right ..... with LeBron James the coach killer and team in total disarray after firing Luke Walton? You're probably right about his coaching preference. Would have run Spoelstra off if he could and terminated Blatt when he could. His agency started bumping its gums on Luke a couple months ago. Oh right, Ty Lue is a coaching savant.

The Lakers and fans will eventually regret letting Luke go if it happens.

Coaching Lebron in LOS ANGELES with 2 seasons of experience under the belt? Even a veteran coach would flounder. All of a sudden we're surprised? We didn't even put together a functional roster.

The interesting piece is that if Luke was Jeanie's guy, and Jeanie wanted Magic, and Jeanie/Magic always wanted LeBron - did you not see this scenario playing out? It's just dawning on you that Luke wasn't Magic's pick and that Bron may not jive with Luke? I have nothing but respect for Jeanie and have seldom, if ever criticized her. But I have to wonder if she bothered to think that far ahead. And if not.....yikes. If you're going to bail on Luke now, ultimately it's only really reflecting on you.

And... we have a build in "we have our own Jason Kidd in Ball, how nice he gets to work with him" excuse.

I'm still a Luke supporter, but I also realize he's gone. If we end up with a quality guy like Monty Williams I'll be happy. If it's Kidd I'm burning the place down.
