i watched some of the clippers game, but i pretty much checked out after the atlanta game. it was clear where things were going. i didn't even bother to check the score on last night's game.

Warriors have been the top (or top 3) shooting team for years now. You ain't going to out-Golden State Golden State....that's facts.

    Fatcatitis aside...

Houston threatened them last postseason going up 3-2. But that 0-27 from 3 in game 7 did them in...or was it a playmaker/perimeter defender like Cp3 going down and not available for game 6 & 7...maybe that has something to do with some of it as well.

    Htown last year playoffs:
    14th (out of 16) in fg%
    13th in 3pt%
    1st in 3pt attempts (40 per game)
    Drtg: 6th

Despite Inefficient shooting/scoring, Htown threatened to go to the Finals last year cause they hung their hat on playing defense and allowing their playmakers (Harden/Cp3) to create multiple opportunities for their teammates to score.

As for Cleveland last year advancing to the Finals (admittedly in a soft conference): They were 10th (out of 16) in fg% and 15th (2nd to last) in 3pt%

But the media has you believe that supposedly all Bron needs is shooters.

maybe a declining Lebron needs shooters more now than ever because his one on one skillz are eroding. He can't blow past people as often, and he doesn't have a post game, so he's launching 3's from halfcourt.

Yes, he needs shooters to help space the floor. If the opponent can pack the paint, you can slow him down.

I checked after it was over. Historical moment for my favorite player of all time or not, it just didn't matter any more. Thank you Lakers.

6 straight years with no playoffs. So outstanding.

If we don’t get a second star, it’s going to be hard to have that preseason optimism that happens every year.

a second star and/or the anthony davis situation resolved. in fact, the davis situation being resolved is probably #1 for me. as long as that's hanging over the franchise, we'll have some of the same issues that led to our demise this year. i think boston's going to want that done, too. people are focusing on how it killed our season, but it certainly didn't help theirs, either. they're about as far off from their projected finish as we will be from ours.

As long as AD is traded, I think we'll be able to relax a little. Even if it's not to us, if he is traded, we will at least have our kids not worried about a mega trade happening mid-season. And if an AD trade doesn't go down, we will likely keep our cap space open to sign him outright in 2020 thereby allowing our young guys a little more peace of mind.

Lonzo needs to be dealt with as well. I still think we should attempt to package our pick and Lonzo to try and get the Suns pick if it falls out of the top 2 (Zion, Morant). Then use that, Kuzma, Hart and a future first to get AD. But even if we don't get AD, I still think we need to move on from the Lonzo experiment. I love what he brings to the table, but the drama that follows him is too much for a team DESPERATE for some semblance of stability.

Trading Lonzo will be our absolute biggest regret of them all: Randle, DLO, Zu.

His health issues, considering an virtually injury free high school and college career, are reminiscent of Curry's. GSW's titles today are a direct result of Curry being a bit injury prone in his 2 - 3 years. Yep. The contract he agreed to accept was much much lower that he should have had... which allowed GSW to create the super team.

I would trade every single person in the organization (and in this fan base :)) before I trade Zo. LeBron first. Magic second. The "medical" staff is going to be take out back and put out of their misery with a sledge hammer.

    Keep Zo at all costs.

P.S. Of course our dimwit President won't do it, because he is a dimwit, but...

I agree. Zo is still a kid for all intents and purposes and his body hasn't matured. He needs probably another two years of professional training to get his body ready for the rigors of an NBA season. His talent is undeniable. He will get there with his body and then watch out!
