Spoiler There's a theory that Gendry might even be Cersei's child, thus the known claim to the throne. There was supposedly a line Cersei said that she lost a child early on. Why Robert Baratheon hid him from her was a question. Maybe to protect him from the Targaryens after he killed Rhaegar the same way Jon was protected from the Robert?
Spoiler Speaking of Ned hiding jon, so Ned had to know that the entire story of Robert's Rebellion was a lie because I doubt Lyanna would name her son after Rhaegar's family member had it been a kidnap/rape. It also makes more sense that Ned would indeed protect the child since it was a child of love as opposed to one of force. But it does make you wonder, if Ned breaks in the room a few minutes later and Lyanna is dead and doesn't tell Ned what his name is (thereby allowing Ned to continue to believe it was a rape) does Ned protect that child? Does Ned raise him as his own? It just makes the burden Ned was living with that much greater. It also explains why he was so protective of Dany in season one and didn't want her killed because he knew her entire family was wiped out for a non-existent reason.
Spoiler I'm rewatching that show and just saw that. It stuck out because there's another theory that keys in on the witch who told Cersei that she'd only have three kids. How can that be? That'd mean she'd had four kids already so the prophecy was untrue.
Spoiler The only people who seem to be right in terms of priests/priestesses are those who follow the Lord of the Light. As a "witch" told Dany she would never be able to have children, I'm pretty sure she'll be pregnant for the last season. Too many lead ups for it not to be. - Jorah mentioning passing the sword down to Jon's kids. - Dany bringing up she can't have kids and Jon downplaying the words of the witch. - The whole point of showing their love scene during Jon's reveal and birth. Another interesting tidbit which I came across on Reddit regarding the Littlefinger scene: It was mentioned that every scene Littlefinger in was in Season 7, he had the sound of ravens around him.
Spoiler "- The whole point of showing their love scene during Jon's reveal and birth." Not sure that was the whole point. I think they wanted to "drive home" that incest was taking place. "JON IS A TARGARYEN! AND HE IS CURRENTLY ON TOP OF A TARGARYEN! THEY ARE COMPLETELY NAKED! HE IS THRUSTING HIS TARGARYEN-NESS INTO ANOTHER TARGARYEN!" ...is sort of how I read that. Maybe the baby part was a small side issue.
Spoiler: Chains A walker ladder down? Probably picked them up during the battle of Hardhome or any of the old structures that once stood in the north. Sure they could have been carrying them, do we need to be showed every single detail? Spoiler: Dragon - Wall Well there hasn't been dragons in forever. The wall has magic to keep out the Night King but it is still a structure that was man made, it could still be destroyed. Also looks like Ice Dragon seems faster/stronger than when it was just a normal Dragon. Spoiler: Bran - Sam Bran has the ability to see into the past and the present but he needs to be pointed in the right direction to see things. He saw Lyanna(?) tell Ned and he thought that was it, but when Sam told him about the marriage he went to see that.
The scene when they are walking up to the dragons together, what do you bet they each mount up on their own dragon? And who is Arya running from? She looks terrified, and that girl isn't scared of anyone.
Many will die. White Walkers might win. "If you think this has a happy ending, you haven't been paying attention."
Without spoilers, how spoilery is the trailer? Did it seem to reveal any big moments or does it more subtly build hype without giving away much?
I mean, if you haven't watched Season 7, don't watch the trailer. There's definite moments where you'll wonder what happened.
Oh, yeah I’m completely caught up, just moreso concerned if the trailer is too revealing in terms of upcoming events in Season 8.
I'm not watching this in case it shows too much. I've waiting this long for Season 8 and I can wait a little longer despite not seeing the trailer. Taking no risks here...
