If that's all you took out of it...Magic stays shading all his boys, even body shaming them to lean out over the summer. I wonder what he's going to tell 285lb Bron at the exits this season.
yea and how'd they reward Jules for coming back in that crazy shape? Yes thats how I took Dlo comments, its called a back handed comment, just like Magic did to Dlo after the trade saying indirectly that Dlo didn't do this or that, not a leader, etc.
^^^And Im the conspiracy guy. DLo couldn't stay off socials and led the team to a divide. If nice guy Lou ain't sitting next to you on team flights and the rec room, maybe you should call into question your leadership skills. As for Jules, he didn't want to be here and we granted him an out. Mistreatment of dude woulda been to hold him here against his will. Anyways, this has been done ad nauseum with you in particular. Enjoy our current demise...while I enjoy our projected rise. #StayB... (Actually I respect Barnes request) #StaynPositive
Nice way to deflect the Dlo comment, yes he did F up, but who bad mouth a player RIGHT AFTER you trade them? Hell even Indy GM and Pop waited a few months to get into the season before throwing shades and back handed comments towards their stars wanting out. As for Jules, if I were him I wouldnt want to be back either, considering he did all they asked of him and all he got was a qualifying offer? Just cause Jules didn't get a better deal with Pelicans doesn't mean Magic was going to reward him either.
Based off his tenure in LA, was Magic wrong? Players didnt want to damn near sit next to him, let alone play with him. DLo is a scoring guard that can pass...Magic wanted a low usg% pass first guard: Zo checked those boxes. DLo led our team where exactly? Listen, you want to conspire against Magic, that's your business. What he said was absolutely right at the time and look his compliments of DLo actually panned out. Let's see what type of leader he can become tho. Also let's see this summer which free agents want to come play with DLo (who is a restricted FA). Speaking of restricted free agents...the Nets traded for DLo, which clearly means they want him... yet didn't offer him an extension instead choosing to go the restricted route to maximize and be flexible with their cap space this summer...kinda like we did with Jules last year. But let me guess... according to you the Nets are not mistreating DLo, right? Also Jules coulda had more money here...that's not a conspiracy theory...that's a fact. He chose to take less with the Pels and we gifted that to him even though we didn't have to. But your theory is we still mistreated dude. Okay, cool story.
yes Vash, what magic said wasn't wrong, thus my "back handed comments" is how I took Dlo comment as, its no different than those Magic comments, I dont care if Nets are mistreating Dlo, what they do with him has no bearing on my mistreatment comments towards RANDLE....as for Jules, key word is "COULD" get more money and thats only based on IF magic misses out on a Max lvl FA, you think a player wants to hang his future based on outcome from somebody elses decision?
Awesome...I'll bring the tinfoil "caps"...gotta be safe...you know, with me being Magic and all. Jules on a blimped one year deal...bird rights remain...S&t this summer onto the team of his choice to keep those bird rights...or he can just walk away as an unrestricted free agent this summer. He lost money this year...that's not coulda...he did. He will opt out his 9.1m player option this summer and become an unrestricted free agent with a field of 15 teams minimum having at least 20m in cap space. More money here, more playing time here (instead of battling AD, Niko and Jah), more shine here with the LA market and Bron bringing in more eyes..all that equates for more potential money this coming summer for him. Instead he let Mintz do what he did last summer...if anybody is mistreating Jules, it's Mintz. Again, I'm not sure what you're trying to argue at this point, but I'm just going to have to agree to disagree.
Not saying he's satisfied, but this clearly isn't the squad he wants to roll with long term. Otherwise we'd see Rondo, KCP, McGee all locked up on multiple year deals. If he says it's a 2 summer plan, we have to give him that before evaluating the plan.
Of course it wasn't his plan and of course he's not satisfied. You don't plan to waste a year of Lebron's 30's for cap space. Especially when that cap space was available for this season. Plan A was Lebron + 2nd Superstar in July 2018. Plan B was to work a trade for 2nd Superstar. Plan C is Lebron + 2nd Superstar in July 2019. I'm sure during the pitch Magic sold Lebron on A or B. Plan C was always the fail safe, but neither LeBron or Magic thought it'd come down to C. They aren't happy about it. You also can't plan for LeBron missing the first 20 game stretch of his career. If Lonzo and LeBron stayed healthy we're probably a playoff team. Not looking so bad then. Especially to FAs this summer.
to much talking n boasting to be playing the "IF" gm, sorry man nobody cares that we had injuries n some of the loses to teams like mem, orl, etc. didnt require a fully healthy team.
look at your last comments about planning for injuries....nobody plans for them but it is to be expected. N boasting is ref. to Magic prior to season start.
It's amusing to read how Lakers are desperate to pick a big at the waivers deadline. They friggin had a great young cheap big, who could reliably score and make fts... Guess what? They gave him away for a garbage bin.
Well to be fair he drained three or four long 3s last night with no hesitation in shooting them. Whoops. .... sorry .... that was Lopez who we let walk before the season started because small ball.
