    Agreed completely. I like Winslow though. I think if he could capture his tourney run in a bottle and use it in the pros he could be a Harden-esque player but that's 100:1 odds he figures that out. Instead he'll have a hard time carving out a niche in the NBA unless he comes in with the same lock-down defensive ability that Stan Johnson has and I don't see that from Winslow. I think Winslow is a more opportunistic defender, but Johnson is just flat out a defender. Where Winslow can focus and try to defend, Stan is just born to do it. Just like Winslow is born to get into the paint and Stan has some trouble with that.

    I wouldn't begrudge someone taking Winslow who seems more offensively talented over Johnson, but I don't understand Johnson's huge slide here in the mocks. He's going to end up being a steal if he falls as far as some of these places are saying. I expect workouts to turn that around.

    I feel like the Winslow and Johnson discussion is similar to the Wiggins and Parker of last year's draft. Johnson and Parker have the lower ceiling but higher floor, Winslow and Wiggins have the higher ceiling but lower floor.

    I was under the impression that Johnson had that work ethic, and that's why I had him at #3 prior to the recent reports. I can't stand players that don't give it their all.

    Drafting a big will ease the process of trading or dumping Hill (and his $10 mil contract) so that's a plus too. We can get a promising SF if we trade up, or we can sign maybe a Middleton via free agency with that money.

    His numbers look better as a big, but that just means he's not been as successful as a passer. As a JR he started getting it going more.

    His Scoring Efficiency has been solid to good each year. It seems like he'd be the kind of player who'd be able to keep it going in the NBA.

    That's what I project. I'm looking for specific players to build around Clarkson, Kobe, and Randle next year. The ability to spot-up shoot consistently and defend.

    really don't like hunter from the clips I've seen. weak, slow, and slightly undersized isn't a great combo, even if you're super skilled, which he appears to be. I've heard kevin martin comparisons, but he was WAY faster and a bit taller. I'd prefer an RHJ at that late pick.

    He's another guy whose stats mean he scores better as a big (80 and 79, respectively). This means that he's not very good with the ball. He's going to have to be an elite defender because he can't do much else: doesn't shoot well, doesn't have good passing numbers, doesn't score efficiently, doesn't pick up much in the way of blocks and steals (but that's the thing he does best).

    he's appropriately sized for sf, is quite long and athletic, and showed improvement in his offensive game over time. probably doesn't matter, as I'm guessing he won't be available in the late 1st after he shuts guys like hunter down in workouts. he has the tools to be an elite defender and showed them fairly often in college, imo.
