I just played and beat Little Samson (in like 2 days. I know people buy it for collection sake but while it was it was fun, I would expect more for an $800 game.) im going to play a bunch of other caveman games. not sure if i should do Bonk's Adventure, Adventure Island, Flintstones Dinosaur Peak, Prehistorik Man or Joe and Mac
I've been playing for a while but don't feel like I'm that far into the story. I'm in Alfheim right now and it's incredible so far.
I'm on PUBG mobile if anyone's on there. It's a nice port to the mobile version if you ask me. Definitely better than the Fortnite mobile version.
Depends on your gaming tastes, but the typical PS4 recommendations are Uncharted The Nathan Drake Collection (if you didn’t play the games on PS3, or did and want to replay them again with better controls and graphics) Uncharted 4 Uncharted The Lost Legacy Horizon Zero Dawn Nier: Automata Bloodborne The Last Guardian (if you liked ICO and Shadow of the Colossus) Shadow of the Colossus Remastered Ratchet and Clank My personal recommendations if you’re a fan of all genres and games from longtime PlayStation developers, and that you can get for really cheap now Knack and Knack 2 Everybody’s Golf Wipeout Omega Collection DriveClub Gravity Rush 2 And some others I forgot I’m sure. If this is your first “next-gen” console, there are plenty of great non-exclusive games as well, but if you have an Xbox One or PC a lot of them were probably already available to you.
God of War is very good. Different from the previous installments in a good way, but with most of the same fun. Visually very appealing. Weez you forgot Last of Us which is maybe my favorite game of all time!
Ah yes, I did forget that one, it’s hard to keep track of all the Remastered/Collection releases, they’ve been doing so many dating back to PS3 now (Sly Cooper, Jak & Daxter, Ratchet & Clank, Burnout Paradise, Crash N Sane Trilogy, etc.). The Last of Us 2 is also an upcoming release.
Just finished God of War. It was enjoyable, but honestly a little underwhelming. Story was interesting but felt unfinished. Combat was fun but not as flashy as the original series. The RPG elements weren’t very fleshed out.
PS4 continues to kick butt this generation. Smash Bros coming out this year will probably force me to get a Switch.
Recently finished: God of War: Fantastic game, needed more big boss fights imo, but terrific nonetheless, feels like they may release a DLC. Nioh: Good, but fairly repetitive after a while, Japanese folklore is cool. Psychonauts: amazing old platformer. Dark souls 2: awesome. Currently on Skyrim before I take on the bio shock collection.
I got Spider-Man this weekend and it's fantastic. It can get a little repetitive, but if you enjoyed the Arkham series, this is exactly your cup of tea. There's plenty of great Spidey lore, there's solid story building. I haven't played much of the game, but the swinging is spectacular. They put a ton of effort into making Spider-Man feel like Spider-Man and not just a random hero. If you enjoy Spider-Man the character and you enjoy Arkham style gaming, this is going to be your favorite game of the year. For me it's a 8.5/10 could be a 9/10 if there's more story coming up or if some of the long teases pay off.
Stopped gaming for a little bit there but jumped right back in for Spider Man. Amazing game so far, I spent most of my weekend just swinging around and playing with the camera mode.
Planning to play through the entire Halo series now that the Master Chief Collection got a 4K HDR update. On Halo 2 right now. Also playing Octopath Traveler on Switch, and picked up Okami HD as well. Never played the original so pretty hyped cause I hear its heavily inspired by the 3D Zelda games. Gonna be on vacation for a few weeks so planning on getting in a good amount of playtime on my Switch. (Yes, chilling on the beach with a cocktail and playing Switch is an awesome use of vacation time for me). Once I get back from vacation I’m hoping to have some of my backlog cleared so I can get started on Spiderman.
So because I go in and out of this thread I've played: RDR2: Good game, enjoyed Arthur Morgan, but I felt some parts were tedious after initially doing it (hunting, fishing), the looting was annoying and some of the characters weren't developed enough (like Javier?). But these are minor things in a truly awesome and vast beautiful game. Resident Evil 2 remake: Awesome remaster. Spider-man: Great fun game, basically like the batman games in Spider-Man form. Bioshock Collection: Fantastic series of games, took me so long to get round to them for some reason, great fun worlds. Titanfall 2: Underrated game, hopefully more people will try it now that Apex Legemds has taken off. There are a couple more that I've forgotten most likely. Coming up: - Anthem (Feb) - Sekiro (march) - Days gone (Apr) These three games look great and I will be getting all three.
I’ve been playing fallout 76. I love Fallout and have played every game in the series dating back to wasteland for PC. This one is frustrating, and after hitting level 50, it feels like there’s nothing to do.
I purposely avoided that game due to it sounding like a rushed piece of garbage. Stores in Europe are running promotions essentially dumping the game on people with various cheap products. In Poland it came free with PS4 thumb sticks which cost €5, this game came out in Nov.
