Of course he will be better. He is going to be someone in this league. I think him and Randle have a very bright future on this team. But we need another good to great pick for a true rebuild. Let's see if that can happen.

Can't wait to see clarkson next year. He won't have the surprise effect anymore. Teams will prepare for him and try to shut him down. Next
year will be a huge indicator of how good he will be.

That's true, but next year other teams will also be defending Kobe, Randle, a good FA and another top 5 draft pick too.

JC's jumper and ability to penetrate, Randle's ability to score off the dribble, in the post, and on the J, and Kobe will be NOICE. Add in a dude who lives in the paint or mans the wing and we're looking pretty good.

They have already started to game plan for him; Rick Carlisle spoke about it when we faced Dallas about 3 weeks ago. The Clippers just prepared for him the first time by blitzing the heck out of him; JC came back and adjusted to have a very strong game. Sacramento doubled him and tried to get the ball out of his hands yesterday if I remember correctly.

He has to worker on some aspects of his game, but with his work ethic, determination to get better, and ability to apply the things he's learned in games, he's projected to be a starter, and I would speculate more than that. We have something on our hands here with this young man; let's just enjoy the journey...

Ehh. Not nearly enough time on the court for randle. I 'm equally excited to see both those guys figure it out together. Randle' s a quality player. Next year will be a lot of fun.

I'm more intrigued about Randle honestly because while most of us believe he'll be something great, we haven't seen enough yet. Clarkson has already exceeded every expectation.

Honestly when we bought his pick I had almost no expectations. I thought he might even be cut from the team and we'd have wasted our cash on the pick. Good Lord I'm feasting on crow now. This kid is a real talent. I don't know what his ceiling is, but he's absolutely an NBA player and a good one at that, a starter.

I really hope that Randle becomes great. Clarkson/Randle/top 5 pick can be super fun to watch for many years. Especially for all of us fans who "suffered" through these last few years and never turned on this team. Real fans.

Just an incredible job by Mitch and Jim for finding him, and an unbelievable job by Clarkson for realizing his opportunity and grabbing it.

As for that list, they've got Bogdanovic over Tarik Black and I don't like it. Tarik has earned a spot on the Rookie team too.

Wow, and that is an evaluation of the entire season. If it were an assessment of 'who is the best rookie today' Clarkson would be 2nd - 4th on that list.

So we basically got two top 5 picks last year.

I'd say lottery picks; not top 5 just yet. We have to wait a few years to make that proclamation.

Jordan Clarkson will not play tonight after spraining his ankle at Sacramento. Wesley Johnson

    Clarkson: 16.7 ppg, 5.4 apg, 4.7 rpg, 1.0 spg, 2.4 T.O.’s, 47.9% FG’s, 31.3% 3’s; Westbrook: 15.3 ppg, 5.3 apg, 4.9 rpg, 1.3, 39.8%, 27.1%.

Obviously, Westbrook was much younger and still raw/developing, is now an All-Star. Just fun to see how similar those stats are.

C'mon man, this is a once in a lifetime opportunity. One day you can tell your grandkids that you saw Vander Blue play in person.

In 5 weeks I'd be surprised if Vander Blue himself remembered he played in this game, let alone me remembering him do it.
