As long as Mr. Clublakers doesn't delete the "About the Future of CL" thread, that will remain an excellent recruitment in itself. Some from here have dropped back in to tell one or more of the heartbroken faithful there, that now understandably thinks life is meaningless (and we liked them [IMG] ) ...... about how great the new site is.

    (Would he ever do that?)

If you want to help jump the site off even more, go on Facebook and like the LB page.

Invite your friends to the page, spread the link around the internet! Any Laker fan (or basketball fan) you know, tell them about the site!

Yeah OP mirrored my sentiments exactly. I love the look of the site and all its features. I hope it becomes the premier Laker forum down the road.

You know what? Most of us agreed CL was great because of the quality posters.

As much as I know Barnes and the peeps who put in want this to take off -- the last thing I want is this place to become TLN. I want the quality to be here and I'm not sure a mass marketing of this site will bring that.

Just like CL, people will discover, lurk and join when they realize the quality of LB

Out of curiosity.. whatever every happened to TLN? It looks like a ghost town.

Which in turn begs for a question - TLN has over 3K registered members. The last post has been made 2 days ago.

Why? And how to avoid this happening to LB?

At TLN? Perhaps I'm looking at something different, but I took a glance and it seems that their forums is very active with many posts today.

For how we can keep growing our community, I think it's all about developing our community and being welcoming to new people. I think that could perhaps be why we've had long-time CL lurkers now registering, because they're starting at a zero post count just like the rest of us.

Yeah. That's why I am against having our post count transferred from CL.

Post counts really should only count for the site you made the post, so it's good they didn't transfer over here.

Also, I enjoy seeing my post count back to lower levels. I was getting dangerously close to 5k over there.

-I'm usually browsing while on my phone, so the fact that the site is optimized for mobile and is super blazingly fast... Well great choice. Kudos.

I thought I was going crazy. Figured it out!

there is a lakersnation.com and lakernation.com... and it is the former that is a ghost town (not TLN).
