how do the Lakers change other teams perception when they've always had the perception of the "big bad bully" on the block?
Yeah, but when people feel you’re the biggest, baddest, richest, and now most conniving team, it brings out a special kind of resentment
Why no hate for the C Bags then? They have had more championships then us, a similar history with HOF players, coaches, executives. Hell Danny Ainge has screwed over players and teams for years. Maybe it’s the warm weather in LA and the fact that’s Hollywood. IDK
it's the #lebroneffect he leaves desolation in his wake when he leaves franchises, and now that he's no longer the best player in the league and on the home stretch and with the hated Lakers, it's no holds barred season on the Lakers from every rival.
It's because we haven't been relevant in 7 Years but we still are close to top in Merch sales, ticket sales, TV revenue, Global Market, etc, etc. Other owners resent our Franchise & don't want to anything to help put us back on top..
I already posted this in the Rob thread but being that Magic is part of the Front Office I'll post this in here too
Lakers do not have a perception issue. They have a league that conspires to not make deals with the Lakers. Starting with that dinosaur a** face in San Antonio and many of the worthless owners in the league.
^^^But wouldn't that be a conspiracy theory? And that's frowned upon and unacceptable around here. #TinFoil'n
I'm real glad he's doing this. Yes, our players need to know its a business and this happens in the NBA but that doesn't mean you can't talk it over.
Grown man leader move. Got Ballmer and West across the hall going forward. Need to shock the world a little with a resurgence the last part of season and in the playoffs. Need the team together and on same page. Chance for these guys to really show what they got. Just give us health and hopefully Lonzo soon.
Addressing the team was a must. Especially if we want to ride the team positivity and momentum from that Boston win and try to get into the playoffs. He doesn't do this and there's a good chance the deck collapses. Full transparency during the meeting about everyone's place. Also he needs to tell Ball to have his dad STFU
Seriously...f*** the baby gloves s***. If the media was so f***ing concerned about team psyche and our youngns then why no hissy fit toward the baby cbags, sitting there knowing the vets don't like them and are in a waiting pattern IF AD or another star become available. And knowing that the Pels did this to AD/Klutch all for the Boston narrative...the media really thinks Boston has a shot at keeping dude long-term?!?...Rich/AD just cool with their trade demand and short list going ignored for Boston?!? Gtfoh!...the media stays goofy AF.
