    Houston is roughly 2.5m from avoiding the luxury tax and with this move have 14 on the roster.

    Beas/Lance for the recently traded for Shump (who has played with Bron before) will get Houston out of the tax completely and fill their roster to 15. We probably get a future pick out of it and open up a roster spot for the buyout market or Melo.

    Also we wouldn't need Beas/Lance in a potential AD trade if that is still a viable option. We'd have enough salary with KCP (if he waives his no trade) or Rondo.

    Mirotic fetches 4 2nd round picks for NOP. I know, 2nd rounders arent that great, but a good draft picker will get one rotation player out of that, and maybe much more. It kinda sets the market though, from NOP's standpoint.

    Both Temple and Green are expirings. cLips cleared another 2m guaranteed had they kept Avery and waived his partially guaranteed contract this summer.


    I guess the leak involving Mitch's squad didn't help get the deal done...but Mitch keeps everything close to the vest tho.
