The seed does not even matter that much if we're healthy. We're not winning the championship, but at least we can create some excitement so that other stars will want to come play for the Lakers. As long as Bron is healthy and we end up in the playoffs, I won't complain about this season.

I would be dissapointed if I don't see a healthy Lakers in a Warriors less bracket until the WCF

The Clips won't make the play offs, I'm pretty sure. The doom when that happens should be delicious.

But we could end up facing the Warriors in the first round too. Have to factor that in.

I am happy with the playoffs, very happy with the first round win. I really don't expect much more; just trying to be realistic.

Anyone else sort of like the prospect of facing the Warriors in the first round? If it’s going to happen, why wait? I’m actually kind of hoping for it at this point.

They have 6 games left against Suns and Hawks , Cleveland at home ...

Their Eastern trip is against Wizards, Knicks , Bulls , Hawks while we have 5 consecutive games on the road against Warriors , Pacers , C Bags, Sixers, Hawks

Sure they will lose games against the West but they're in a great position ...

    • Kings lost.
    • Blazers lost.
    • Clippers lost.

Well, that was a good day for us.

Still out of the PO picture. We have to secure any place but the 8th, need some confidence before facing the GSW.

It's still way to early to decipher the playoffs right now. I've never seen the West this close ever.

Injuries aren't going to help us, but I know for damn sure that with Lebron back and an easier schedule to finish the season will certainly help that.

I don’t think our schedule gets easier though. The last two or three weeks are pretty brutal.

I hate to be pessimistic, but our schedule coupled with the undetermined return of LBJ and host of other injuries makes me believe we will miss the playoffs entirely.

No, the difference between us and say, Portland is 3 losses. When Bron comes back, we can easily get back. And he is coming back soon. West is wide open. I think we'll make it, but it's not going to be a good seed. It's alright.

yeah, the clips are the only team ahead of us that really seems catchable without major injuries, and i could see teams currently behind us (like sac) making moves to help get in the playoff mix. it's likely going to be a bumpy ride there at best.

Yeah at thsi point, we're not catching Utah...and they're most likely going to climb to the 4th seed like they were projected when the year started...

Clippers also won unexpectedly on the road lsat night...so that didn't help....we literally need LeBron or Rondo or BOTH back in the worst way right now...Lakers will have to make a run at some point because we haven't had a single long winning streak all year...

I just hate hate hate that we had all these injuries happen especially to LeBron of all people who has been an ironman his entire career...

Of course he would miss a month when he joins us...reminds me of when Karl Malone had hsi first major injury joining us (and he missed half the season)

that too...but he was already having issues with his back and all...

Malone and LeBron were notorious for being ironmen...until Malone came to us.

that happens when you sign old high mileage stars

It won't get any better unfortunately

We signed Lebron for the beginning of his end.
