Pretty much all of Utah’s guards are out. Watch out for Donovan Mitchell going off.

Will the Spurs ever go away ? 7 wins in a row at home ( including Ws against Sixers, Nuggets , C-bags , Raptors , Thunder) and closing last night game out with White , Forbes and Mills in the lineup

when pop retires, i guess? that's unless they've groomed an assistant to match the greatest coach in nba history. which is a tall order, but possible given their organizational history and structure.

once again, they play aldridge, pau gasol, davis bertans, jakob poeltl, and rudy gay as their 4/5 and they're a top-3 defense. this is after losing their best defensive guard for the season. pop is a f***ing wizard.

they will finish ahead of us in the standings. we have to hope for the clips to clip (still not happening!) and something bad to happen in portland if we want to move up. and we have to hope sac runs out of gas and utah doesn't go on its typical second-half tear if we don't want to miss the playoffs.

I think the top 8 is going to remain the same....had LeBron not gone down, we would have the 3rd or 4th seed wrapped up, but due to his injury, we're going to be in the 6-8 range for the foreseeable future (unless we go on an insane tear in the 2nd half of the season, which isn't impossible)

I don't see Utah coming back into the picture, nor do I see Sac making it (although I want Sac to stay in the race for 8 until the very end of the season so Boston's pick ends up being like 13th or 14th!)

why wouldn't utah come back? the past two years, they've been super hot after the break, and i thought i read somewhere that they have an easier schedule for the remainder.

also, sac hasn't been this good for this long in years. i think they might be for real. and they're going to make trades with the playoffs in mind. our interest in preserving cap space will hamstring us vs the teams we'll be competing with to get in.

Utah also at some point will probably be healthy again. They are very injured with almost all their guards out.

At the end of the day, if we're one of the top 8 teams in the Conference, we'll be in the playoffs. To get there, just like any team, we'll need to be relatively healthy and play to our potential.

    If those things don't happen?

This will have been a colossal waste of a season.
Lebron's legacy might even take a slight hit if it lends to the perception of how easy he had it making it to the Finals from the East every year.

I have us at worst 30-27 at the ASG break and Utah at 30-27 too ....

Floppers and Spurs should be in the 25-27 losses range too ( not Blazers though , 22-24 range).

    We should be fine ...

I am not paying attention anymore until Bron comes back. There's no point. Hopefully, we are still somehow in the 8th place when he does. If so, we'll be fine.

Clippers lost. Grizzlies lost. Spurs are going to lose in a couple of minutes. I wonder if Sacramento and Utah can also lose tonight? I mean, we should really consider ourselves lucky at this point.

You know what really would have been a good news, with all those "lost"? One with "found". It goes like this: "LeBron's gonads are finally found and he is ready to play".
