Don't worry guys, the Cavs aren't in the lottery this year, so I'd imagine the percentages will actually matter this year. Must be nice to get 3 #1 overall picks and have a 0.001% chance of that happening.
it's highly unlikely, but there are scenarios in which houston could fall all the way to 6 in the west, which would be awesome. i think they're going to stay at 2, though, unfortunately. they'll beat SA at home in a harden ft-a-thon, then their last three games are cake. mem/lac have to play each other, too, so that means one of them almost certainly stays behind hou in the standings.
People who are running the sim over and over...it's Russian Roulette. We have about a 1 in 6 shot at losing it. So when draft day comes, they'll just spin that chamber and hope it doesn't go off.
Well, my dream had Orlando catching us in the standings, so I'm not Nostradamus or anything. Let's hope the other half of my dream is as accurate as the first. I will say I had one dream that came true EXACTLY how I envisioned it, down to the point where when I saw it happening live, I got an overwhelming sense of Deja vu. Remember when unranked Stanford beat #1 USC? I dreamed it happened the week of the game, and I wasn't even consciously aware they were playing that week.
Best case scenario draft okafor and sam dekker sign kawahi to max Kobe and randle back healthy jc/price Kobe/young/brown kawahi/dekker randle/kelly okafor/davis/sacre that team would have a mixture of youth and stars! I would follow that team every second whether we won or lose bc of the excitement factor. So if mitch was smart he would cater to what the fans want which is contend and excitement!
Plan b Draft Winslow and trade up to get kaminsky in the teens sign monroe and danny green/Middleton jc/price kobe/young winslow/green or Middleton randle/kaminsky/kelly monroe/davis/sacre that team may have flaws on defense but it is a good plan b!
Spurs beat the Rockets tonight. Depending on how the next few games play out, that Houston pick might end up as high as 23.
That'd make it a whole lot nicer in terms of a trade chip to maybe move up and grab someone we really want in the teens. But I do feel a little dirty that I am having to root for the Cavs and Clippers in order to help us along.
just remember you're rooting against the rockets, which is like, the easiest thing to do in the world.
Yeah, I forgot that the lottery goes by record, not standings. Portland will have a higher seed due to winning their division, but they have a worse record so they're going to get a better pick than Houston. But if the Rockets can drop a game, and/or the Spurs, Grizzlies, and Clippers win out (I don't know who they're playing), then it looks like we'll get the 25th pick which isn't terrible considering that it was going to be the 28th pick a few days ago.
