I hear Htown was willing to give up to 4 1st rounders up at one point.

Special thing to pay attention to...any team interested in Kcp is automatically a threat for AD if and when a trade demand occurs.

Also if the Rox are involved, you best believe Melo to LA is in play too haha (sorry, not sorry).

Also Ariza, Chriss and Gordon were all repped by Pelinka at one point and the latter 2 are currently repped by Landmark which Pelinka left to become the Lakers GM.

So many crazy angles to this.

I think Ariza is absolutely a game changer if swapped for KCP. The defense gets a lot better in that one move. So does the clutch factor. Honestly this serves KCP right for his lackluster start to the year. Up until very recently he's just been cringeworthy out there. Now he's coming back a bit but I'd much rather have Ariza taking those minutes. He's a guy I trust. We wouldn't have beaten Denver in the WCF to get to the Finals in 2009 without him. I was very high on our acquisition of KCP but he's totally disappointed me. He hasn't done squat.

kcp was born to dantoni. he's fast, shoots only threes or breakaway dunks/layups, and can't make plays for others. houston would be a good spot for him, and maybe we shouldn't facilitate that unless we're getting something good beyond ariza in the deal. no, melo does NOT count.

I knew Kurt's wife was working for the Lakers, didn't know he's back as well. As long as Phil stays retired, im fine :p

If Houston gets KCP and we "take back" Melo, Ariza and a 1st from Houston in 2019...I'm OK with Melo coming to our team.

but Hou doesn't have any expiring that fits into KCP $, they're trying to use Knight and nobody wants that guy.

I wonder if we/you were so high on Ariza if he didn't play for us before. Im ok with the Ariza
    - KCP swap but more assets or picks are not worth it. It's 2018 not 2009 ;)

Maybe the Suns would take him back but only if HOU attaches a pick?

We’ve worked with Houston a lot in the past with trades, could see them lending a hand again too.

Umm, okay, we knew about that first part. duh. But no deal is imminent. I know the news about Ariza not playing yesterday has something to do with all these trade talks unless when it comes time for the deadline to pass on 12/15 Ariza is traded but might be going to another team...

Man, this feels like free agency in July. Sort of

They are offering Harden. He is not great as the 1st banana, but is the ultimate 2nd banana, just like Kuz is our 3rd banana. See how that works?

Lol, we wouldn’t give those guys up for Kawhi or Little P, of course we wouldn’t for Ariza. I’d love to add what Ariza would bring to this team, but he’s not better than any of those players individually at this point, and we have no incentive to dump KCP either as he’s an expiring contract even if we don’t want him here long term.

Yeah no, I highly doubt we'd ever consider giving up our 1st let alone our young core.
