Now that's what I call a classic championship game. Epic.

Great game! Was kind of pulling for Wisconsin, no special reason.

Hey is it just an illusion with me...or is that key more narrow? And does it have anything to do with the guys closest to basket having to move back a slot toward the shooter on FTs? Have never noticed that before in college game. Recent?

Some tight sphincters out there tonight.....

1.) Dekker - Should have worn a diaper because he was shut down
2.) Okafor - Outside of the end of the game stretch he was ahead of Dekker for me. Missing easy shots, fouling, looked rattled. Great composure to finish though.

Kaminsky - He's got really nice moves, but man I can't help but wonder how well he will translate to the next level. If he doesn't up the strength, I fear he's going to look like the Pau Gasoft we all came accustomed to hating.

Winslow - Without a doubt he's #3 on my draft board behind KAB (#1) and Okafor (#2). He was doing everything out there

    1.) KAB
    2.) Okafor
    3.) Winslow
    4.) WCS
    5.) Russell
    6.) Mudiay
    7.) Johnson

Here's how I would sum up Kaminsky's translation to the NBA:

That was a hell of a game.

Allen did a great job of keeping them in it for a stretch. What he doesn't have in size he makes up for with heart and effort. Wouldn't be surprised to see him start for them next year.

Tyus hit some big shots, too. I don't like him as a distributor or decision maker though at the next level. If you want a backup not afraid of taking big shots, he's a good pick. Outside of the, I'm not big on his point guard abilities.

I think Winslow really needs to wind up at the right place to succeed. Somewhere like Philly would be ideal an ideal fit. He's too small for SF and he's going to need size like they have up front to help him. He's s great free safety and has good athleticism, but he needs a young, up tempo team with defense behind him. I don't think his style will work nearly as well at the next level. He's too reckless and out of control. When he crashes into a NBA body in the paint, it's not going to end that well for him. That's why I think Johnson translates better at the next level.

Okafor had a rough go with fouls but came up HUGE at the end. Two baskets and a block/deflection. Everything between the first 3 buckets and the last two of his, I found confusing. More of the same problems I've addressed before. Coach K hasn't been very Coach K like. I actually thought he got out coached tonight.

Frank looked sharp. Dekker had an off night. Don't think anything changed for them tonight in the eyes of scouts. Frank will be the 4th big and Dekker is probably an early teen pick now.

I think Winslow will make any team that drafts him very happy. The kid has just got it. 6'6/6'7 at around 225/230 pounds and still a teen so I doubt there will be any concerns about his size. Fearless. Literally everywhere tonight. Just a great prospect all around. Mudiay and Russell will have to really bring it in workouts to go ahead of him. I think he goes top 5 and could go right after Okafor and Towns. As far as him and Johnson, I just think he is flat out better than him right now.

Agreed with absolutely everything here. Allen honestly could get picked this year if he declared. He'd be a second rounder, but he's got some real talent.

I like Winslow but I agree he'll have some trouble getting into the paint like he did in college and his handle needs a lot of work.

Tyus reminds me more and more of Farmar. Small kid with good athleticism, cold blooded but not a perfect NBA fit. Too small to be a SG and not enough vision to be a PG. He did nothing to change my opinion of a low first round pick.

winslow has some good body control for someone that size. he's a hair more athletic than johnson and seems a little better handling the ball, too. i like johnson's shot mechanics better right now, though. i'd take winslow ahead of him, but i could see why someone would still take johnson.

okafor had a few roll out on him, and that seemed to shake him a bit. he also got a couple weak fouls--he totally ate that weak post attempt from kaminsky; in the nba that's a block and a break the other way.

still not that impressed with dekker and kaminsky. mid first round? sure. late lotto--i'm still going for guys with more upside.

Those reports are going way overboard. On talent alone, Winslow is probably 4th-7th at best, along with Johnson.

I think 4th or 5th is about right.

Sorry guys, but he is better than Johnson.

Although his shooting still needs work, I think he is better offensively along with being a better ball handler and more athletic. Earlier I would have given the edge to Johnson defensively, but now I think that is a wash. Winslow also has the edge in intangibles from stepping up in big moments to just being flat out fearless. The guy can just flat out play and I think the Jimmy Butler comparisons aren't too far off.

I like Johnson's size and defense. I also think he comes across as a good kid with a good attitude. I think he wants to be great which is a definite plus. Unfortunately, he just never played that well in any of the games I watched him (and that includes before the tournament). Winslow finds a way to keep himself involved and contributing even when he isn't shooting well. I didn't see that with Johnson.

I agree that both have great attitudes. They have the right mindset as pros. In Johnson I see Artest. He has that huge body as a SF. I just can't put my finger on Winslow's greatest strength. He definitely has the intangibles but I can't see the one glaring strength that the other top prospects possess (ie offense of Okafor, size/athletism of Towns, shooting/passing of Russell, athletism/driving/vision of Mudiay etc etc)

Winslow showed a lot and I can see why his stock has risen with his tourney play, while Johnson slipped. After reflecting though I still take Johnson because of his size and upside. I just think he's going to be a heck of a SF in the future.

Honestly, that's how I feel about Johnson. Outside of his size, I just haven't seen anything I think he does better than Winslow.
