Just checking into LB after 5 or 6 hours..... way too long off the clock....my bad I will own it. But Oh effing Hell Yeah!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
And yet, they still only managed to score 97 points against a T-Pup team that gives up 106 points a game on average for the season (worst defense in the league). Orlando tried to tank, but Minny is just plain awful. I believe we'll keep the 4th spot now. Especially with Ellington out of the mix.
I love you JC, but please, no more 8 points in a few seconds outbursts tonight. We get it. You are good and relish playing against good pgs. Just...try to keep the ppg under 30 for another couple weeks.
This day was very good for the tank, Orlando finally got a win the same day we got a loss. We need all the cushion we can get, we need that 4th spot, 3rd is out of the question after beating Phily twice.
Need to beat the Clips at least once to get their 2nd round pick. We have Orlando under control I would think.
MIN is holding Rubio out for the rest of the season, which means it's extremely unlikely that the Lakers can lose Friday's game. It was always going to likely end in a Lakers win, but with Rubio the Wolves would have at least had a shot at helping us out.
If the rest of the games end up like this last one, I'll be very disappointed. The only moral victory I could take from this season was that we fought hard every game. If we've packed it in for the last eight games and get blown out by 30 every night, I'll finally be really upset with Byron. The only thing he has to do is get them to at least try hard. What I saw from basically anyone not named Clarkson or Brown was not acceptable. That being said, as long as he plays Wes Johnson big minutes we're going to lose most games. That guy is a black hole offensively, overrated defensively, has "hard" hands and fumbles passes all the time, takes bad shots, doesn't understand pace... I officially hate that guy. I can't wait until he's no longer a Laker. Good to have some cushion with Orlando. We're basically locked into the 4th spot now.
Dude, in the beginning of last night's game, it's like Scott told Wes to be aggressive and shoot us out of the game early. Didn't Wes have like 4 shots in the first 7-8 minutes? Insanely efficient tanking.
Just horrible. I was so excited for this kid when we signed him. No one is more disappointed in me that he turned out so abysmally.
I was actually pretty excited too. I was fooled into thinking that maybe he just wasn't in the right situation, he needed proper mentoring, etc. Dude is just crap. I mean, if I went out and dropped a deuce in the key, it would be better than Wes. It would at least draw a charge or something.
He did. But working with Kobe may have been, "Wes, stand under the basket and throw the balls back to me after I shoot them. If your passes aren't right where I want them, you are running suicides." It'd explain why he is rebounding well...and why he's in such good shape.
Stoked that Orlando finally won a game. They shouldn't be losing at the insane rate that they are. Hopefully that comes close to locking the 4 spot for us, though once again I would feel much better about the three. MUCH better. I won't rest easy with us at the four. Yes, it could be worse but it's a tough one (5 spot, would be very scary), but with only room for one team above us squeezing in it's going to be nerve wracking.
