I know John can be a blowhard, but I agree with this take.

I agree as well, I don’t think he said anything outrageous. Lakers fans have already put up with 5 seasons without playoffs and some tanking, but we’ve been promised much more this season. He’s right, you can’t charge the prices they charge for games, bring in a player like LeBron here, and have games where you get behind 41-10 in the first quarter. It’s unacceptable from the players and the coaches.

I also noticed a common thread in Pete’s answers as to why guys are struggling, who should start and come off the bench, and who should fall out of the rotation, and that was “LeBron”. Ingram and Zo are pressing to play with/adjust to LeBron, Rondo is redundant to LeBron, the defense is having to make up for LeBron’s lack of effort to start games and doesn’t have the personnel. It’s great to have a player of this caliber again, but it’s clearly an adjustment and going to take time, which in the West may cost us the playoffs. It’s crazy how in the early going LeBron is either really holding back, or he’s showing major signs of decline already, because he went from being THE best player in the NBA to falling back to like 5th or so at least.

Hopefully Chandler helps give us a boost, but if this losing keeps up, I can absolutely see a trade going down if one presents itself. I don’t think we can count on 2019 free agency anymore if we don’t right this ship and at least become an above .500 team. Durant is rolling with the Warriors, Kyrie already verbally committed to Boston, and Kawhi looks at home with Toronto and they’re rolling. Trade may end up being our only route.

He had nearly a triple double in the finals, and then.......this. It's kind of shocking.

It's not panic time after 10 games. No chance. I do think that having Tyson Chandler helps this team out a lot though. Right now McGee goes out and we just die defensively. We need to cover that 15-20 minutes a game that he goes out and Chandler is actually perfectly suited to do so.

I think too that we have to move Kuz back to the bench and start Hart in order to bolster the defense of the starting unit. Kuz and Lebron look great together offensively, but defensively they are sieve-like, and when in together it's brutal. We need to hide each one defensively and Hart with Ingram helps do that with the starters, and putting Kuz in with Chandler (no more small ball 5 with Kuz please), Rondo, KCP and Lance will help on the bench.

I'd say by game 20 we need to be at .500 ball and past that we need to be headed toward above .500 to get on schedule to make the playoffs.

But Small Ball and run the floor like a small forward.

I'm of the belief though that for a small contract he did not want to come off the bench, like Randle did not want to.

I'm starting to fall into the camp of trade Brandon. I like him. I think if we had any other superstar than Lebron, he'd be great. But we committed 4 years to Lebron who makes Ingram's skill set redundant. He plays the same way. If the opportunity presents itself, we need to make a move because a full season of BI trying to awkwardly fit next to Lebron will kill his value. Pelicans are 4-6. Time to trade AD! Right? Right?

I think it's a bit of a cop out to blame rotations and all that on LeBron, no disrespect to Pete who I think is fantastic.

The reality is Luke should have a better hold of who fits and who doesn't. It doesn't take a genius to understand it. I don't agree at all that we don't have the horses to fit around LeBron. What does he need? Young, athletic guys who can run around and create chaos. We have that, but they haven't been put in situations where they can succeed yet. We all know LeBron is in 2010-2013 Kobe mode: opportunistic defense at best. So what does that mean? Get everyone on the same page and help him out. We have come out flat in so many games and I don't get that at all. Some of that is on LeBron not pushing it more and some of it is on these kids for not playing with the same kind of heart and passion we saw last year. I don't care who else is on the court, there's no time for being star struck. Get the f***ing thing rolling and let's go. But for me most of the blame comes on Luke who seemingly doesn't have these guys prepared. We preach patience patience patience, but we should still be seeing growth every game and we're not right now.

This team, with the core being the young guys, seem a year or two away from being the team Lebron needs to be contenders. I really hope a max player comes this summer via free agency or trade; otherwise when the team is ready, Lebron will be on his last legs.

it takes 2 to trade, NOP doesn't have to trade AD nor trade him tous. Just like Pg, Leonard, etc. if you ain't offering a boat load of assets they're not dealing with us, Magic/Rob dont seem to be offering a whole lot IMO, we keep saying BI/Fillers was enough but SA wanted to much, well they got an all-star in DD who is way over performing over the likes of the ones we deemed untouchable....if we're gona deem Zo, Bi, etc. as underachieving, how do you think the pelicans are going to look at them?

Preemptive WMC: I'm going to complain about the imminent crying about our perimeter defense.

It's true, some were uncontested, but I'd bet my bottom dollar, we contested a majority of them. You just gotta tip your hat to them (they set a franchise record from there). For the most part, those are the shots we want them to take (on the season, they're 34.6% from there, tonight 20-40). For the most part the effort was there tho.

But I can't end a Wmc post like that, so da f*** was that to end the game Bron/Kuz. Even if you're making 3balls, really poor shot selection.

Some people are never happy. Not too often can you nearly drop a triple double and have people complain. I guess I better get used to this.

This is the purpose of the WMC thread, it is specifically for venting and not having to be questioned.

All you do is come into threads or game time and troll about LeBron, even if he’s not on the floor you’re talking about him and fishing for reactions. You’ve crapped on Kobe, you’ve said nobody cares about Magic anymore, and you’re scolding people for using this thread as interned. Learn to read the room.

Watch our defensive rebound rate this season and the Bucks one too ( and when Brook is on the floor , it's better).

    He's a useful player without a doubt
