I think this should be the all rookie team:

Payton - Has played some games in all star level. getting better each day.
Clarkson - Had the best second half of the season from all rookies. maybe tied with Mirotic.
Wiggins - Scores all season long. obvious ROY.
    Mirotic - Great player.
Noel - On his way to becoming a monster.

    * Galloway is on a really really really terrible team.
    * Smart/Lavine - mediocre first season. will be on higher level next season.
    * Bogdanovic - One day will be a great shooter. but not right now.
    * Exum/Napier/Gordon - ???

There are so many players in this draft you could see exploding in 2-3 years, and thats without talking about Randle. but I think the 5 up there will be on top.

Mitch or Jim, or whoever made the decision to buy that 2nd round pick to grab Clarkson is an absolute genius. Steal of the draft by far. I would have been happy to use the 7th pick on him if I could be assured of seeing him develop like this. To get him in the 2nd is mind bottling.

That was fun to watch! He had me up out of my chair clapping loudly during stretches of the game. Haven't done that much this year.

Yet, if Max Kellerman is to be believed we will go sign Rondo for several million and move Clarkson (the superior player) to the bench.

Seriously I thought our next game was Sunday and have gotten hooked into House of Cards, watching streamed episode after episode again tonight while dog and house sitting with my wife. The Lakers lost again while Orlando won? Oh that's terrible!!! Ouch!! Just smacked myself for the smile on my face. This will be over soon as we finish turning lemons into sweet lemonade.

Well he certainly doesn't have any fear out there. His man may go off like Lillard did tonight, but he went right back at him. You gotta love that, not intimidated by anyone no matter how big the name, he seems to know he can score on anyone as well. He's making more and more nice plays as a PG as well, looks more in control all the time, pushing the fast break, getting to the hoop for layups and fouls. I also think he's using screens better, and not rushing things as much in general. He's the one bright spot for us right now, it's great to watch his development, I hope it keeps up. Having not played for so much of the early part of the season he seems to have avoided the rookie wall as well, and he plays a lot of minutes now, but so far he seems to energy to spare.

I'm not up to the Rondo signing. but doing it will not hurt Clarkson.
If we draft a C in the end, the starting 5 will consist Kobe and 4 players with less than 3 years of experience. (even if we sign a SF like Middelton). We do need another high experience player in that lineup.
Also, it's a long season, with Kobe getting minute restrictions and there is no way Rondo would play 82 games.
So I can see Clarkson starting alot even if we get Rondo.

But I'm not up to it. waste of money. if he wants he can come for free.

Yeah, we have so many holes, but with the emergence of Clarkson, the PG spot is no longer the biggest hole. Just sign Lin as a backup and make that our 2016 PG rotation.

We need a starting C and SF pronto.

    1. Kobe 66
    2. Gasol 26

So true, at the beginning of this horrific game Lillard was killing Clarkson on the P&R. I saw fire in Clarkson's eyes after a time out early in the game as Lillard had 11 points. Clarkson started busting through the screens and taking it to Lillard on the other end. The kid's got heart...and untapped potential to boot.

Something I noticed in this game that should help in the tank was jealousy and selfishness directed at Clarkson from players that will be looking for jobs next year. On many occasions when Clarkson took it upon himself to score, glares of anger were directed his way by the likes of Hill, Boozer,Davis and Lin. He just glared back and went back at it. He worked well with Black, Kelly, Brown and Johnson. I think the light has gone on in these guys brains with the season winding down knowing a rookie 2nd round pick is out performing them, showing them up with his desire to compete and athleticism.
