I was kidding with the Oxy. Tiny winking guy immediately after and big tongue in cheek Metta at the end I thought would be tip off. What about my question. Kobe would find a way to play.... but could there be any physical bad ramifications from playing too soon?

Will I cause any more damage Gary? [IMG]

    Nope? Then I’m playing.

In some extreme cases the bone can be put under such duress that parts of it die, but that's unlikely given that Wagner is a professional basketball player with access to top-notch care.

A bone bruise typically takes 2 months or more to heal depending on the location. A soft tissue bruise is damage to blood vessels that leads to pooling blood (the purplish tinge in your skin). You see the pooling blood because your skin is soft and can expand to take the extra blood. Your bone however cannot really expand to take that extra blood so instead you end up with pressure inside your bone which can be extraordinarily painful.

You could I suppose take a shot and get back out there, but the pain can be debilitating and often restrictive. There's no doctor on the planet, especially in a sports context, that would advise a player to take pain killers and get back out there. Not only is it unnecessarily risking harm to your bones, but it would prolong the recovery process by quite a bit.

At just over two months since the injury he's actually pretty much on schedule. He should be resuming activity in about 2-4 weeks. If not, there's some really serious damage to his bone.

No sweat. Something I think we should talk about more maybe is that the Lakers have shown a propensity to mis-report injuries. They called this a bruise, but it was more than that. They never told us about Ball's torn meniscus. I'm sure I'm missing more, but why aren't we being told the whole picture? It makes it look worse when the guys don't meet typical timelines.

Really wish this guy was playing in pre-season...putting Mo at the 5 would help Kuzma slide back to his natural position as well

Man that's just not right he was headed for page 3. But "soon" our top draft pick for 2018

    ..... and remember he's listed at 6'11"

    WOOOOO!!!

LOL I keep watching this video and having validated why I loved his game in SL. He's really skilled for his size and has a beautiful stroke. He's a 6'11' version of Svi out there. Energetic like Turief was energetic. Again, our depth at center is looking a lot better, especially if Zu can get into a rhythm and hopefully a lot more confidence.

I had Wagner playing 10-15 mpg this season....but with him missing the entire camp and pre-season, I don't see him playing regular minutes before the all-star game.

BUMP!! He's playing 5 on 5 contact. He's 6'11". He's seems as talented and skilled size proportionately as Svi is at 6'8".

If we can get him back and get him going...he may just be the answer to our back up 5 problems....he can bang down low, good rebounder and can also hit the 3 ball in the pick and pop. Please come back so we can get KUZ back to his natural spot!

That doesn't sound like Moe help....that sounds like he's still not ready to play. I hope he gets back ASAP....need to get him going at the back up 5 spot!
