I'd be pissed too. I think my dog would be pissed being compared to Wes, and that's strictly on an intellectual level.

I was thinking "Wes Johnson +" = an athletic kid with a brain on his shoulders.

It's no insult. If Wes played with his brain he'd be making 5 million a year somewhere.

If the Queen had [IMG] [IMG] [IMG] [IMG] [IMG] she'd be King.

Just teasing. [IMG] Dammit we pulled out a win at the end in overtime. Can't even blame it on Byron. That was a tank lineup for sure. [IMG]

That was the worst line up we could possibly put out there. Nothing more could have been done. If we stick with that line up we should end up 4th.

Hey, guys, if anybody knows, please inform me; if we lose our lottery pick, we still keep our 2nd round pick, right? The Clippers pick?

Interesting. Prophet Savory shall we call you? I'm kidding. Either way, I'm referring to our 2nd round pick from the Clippers. :)

I honestly did have a dream about it. Probably says more about me than it does the Laker future.

I believe you. It looks like we do keep our Houston first rounder and our 2nd rounder from the Clippers. #27 and #34.

I never really cared about the other prospects, just the top 4 really...or who I thought was the top 4, namely, Okafor, KAT, Russell and Mudiay. Then someone's name keep coming up. So I watch some highlights and it was love at first sight...

I have never seen moves like that from someone so young since a certain Laker was wearing number 8. I won't be unhappy if we used the No. 4 or 5 pick on this guy.

yipes. i know it's a highlight reel, but that guy looks like a beast. i don't think any of the other wing prospects look nearly that good, even in highlight videos.

3 minute Mudiay highlights; some interesting things. Quicker than Russell off the bounce, ability to finish through contract, seen him drive left and finish with his left hand, and I also seen him finish a reverse with his left, and he's right hand dominant. Also, seems to navigate through the pick in roll well...just highlights, but I do see the potential.

I know, right? Just awesome instincts. Something special about the kid but Barca is shutting him down so he'll fall in the draft. I dunno if it will work considering everybody is going to Europe to scout the kid, including us.

The more I see of WCS, the more I'm starting to think that we take Okafor, Towns or WCS (whoever is available in that order). Clarkson has made the need at guard MUCH less glaring. While having WCS and Randle in the frontcourt for 10 years would be pretty amazing.

Understood. However, Clarkson's develop and growth shouldn't preclude us from taking a guard if he's the best player available. If Mudiay works out better than WCS, take him.

Quick story; I hope I tell this right because I heard this from a friend who went to a Bob Knight seminar; before the 84 draft, Bob told the Portland GM that Jordan was going to be special. He had seen him play, workout, and knew the kid was going to be special so he advised Portland to take Jordan. The Portland GM responded 'well, we need a center,' Bob's reply was, 'well, take Jordan and have him play center.' Of course Portland took Bowie and we all knew what happened after that...point? Draft the best guy available.

I'm not sure comparing Mudiay and WCS is the same. You don't HAVE to take the best player available if the difference is small. If Mudiay is great, then by all means take him. But if it's a tiny difference, I'd rather have the center on a cost controlled contract, especially considering Randle will not be a rim protector.
