Well dude has a sense of humor. Or is under LaVar's spell. More likely it's the pay check.

The timing of this is suspect...comes out a day after we stretch Deng.

Dedmon and Baze could've been potential trade targets in a Deng deal, but maybe the Hawks wanted more compensation than we wanted to give up. Either way, that door is firmly closed now and it looks like we avoided a potential misstep if we were looking to Dedmon to shore up that center spot.

It sort of baffles the mind that everyone in the world except for the Ball family knows that LiAngelo Ball is such a non-NBA caliber player, that he makes prime Smush Parker look like Kobe Bryant lol.

Not exactly a big lob threat or rim defender like McGee, but Mo Speights is in China who can sign with any NBA team in a few months. I think he’s a good pick and pop, tough minded post defender in the way that David West was. Plus he was a former Warrior so you have the Luke Walton connection there.

I heard Zubac has been working hard at the Boing Vert academy and is up to 46" now helped by his 20lb weight loss.

I mean, I wouldn't mind Tarik Black back here. He'd be a serviceable small ball center.

Anyone know how much Al Jefferson has left in his tank? Haven't heard much from him.

Deng to the Wolves only benefits us (marginally) if he agrees to set-off the 14.4m we owe him this year in the buyout. If he chooses not to, he can double dip and get 2 checks in that he gets all 14.4m from us while getting whatever he gets from Minny also.

Minny has 13 on the roster and 12 of those are guaranteed. They're roughly 600k from paying a luxury tax, so they would have to waive that unguaranteed contract to avoid paying taxes on signing Deng.

They have the biannual exception (3.3m) to offer Deng. If Deng gets that entire check and agrees to a set-off, then his 14.4m cap hit on our books this year will only count as 13.5m (= half of what he signed for as a free agent minus the vet min of 1.5m)

If it’s optional on his part to give back mo money or help us out, I think we know what that answer is.

Zero interest in Crawford, we have like 10 guards/wings. Wouldn’t be opposed to Wright with the 15th spot though, he’s a serviceable big for a few mins here and there.

Would not want Crawford taking a single minute away from Hart.
