Eminem has made a career off of being controversial and he's still doing it. Got to respect it. Crazy talent when it comes to rap, one of the greatest.
I’m curious to hear your opinion on the album after a full listen. I checked out the leak last night. Em can spit, but album is super frustrating IMO.
Oops, never mind then. Disregard what I said. Great album, you’ll love it Honestly if you listened to any number of tracks and thought “so far so good”, you’ll probably like the rest of it. There was no point in the album that I would’ve said that so you probably like some of the songs that I didn’t. If you got to Remind Me and liked it though, we’re just not gonna see eye to eye on this album. Might be one of the worst songs I’ve ever heard. I have no clue how someone considered a top 5 MC would think that’s acceptable. Terrible rock sample and lyrics like: “I'm lookin' at your tight rear like a sightseer. Your booty is heavy duty, like diarrhea”
Definitely did not like Remind Me and Untouchable, otherwise a pretty solid album. Being an Ed Sheeran fan, kind of wanted Em to give him a verse in River.
So disappointed. Em is best when he's not fixated on one thing (his mom, drugs, or in this case, Trump). I liked the first couple songs and then Bad Husband. But the album is just inconsistent and unfocused. Kinda sad he went out like this.
Eminem released a surprise album last night. Kamikaze. Track listing: The Ringer Greatest Lucky You (feat. Joyner Lucas) Paul – Skit Normal Em Calls Paul – Skit Stepping Stone Not Alike (feat. Royce Da 5’9′) Fall Kamikaze Nice Guy (feat. Jessie Reyez) Good Guy (feat. Jessie Reyez) Venom – Music from the Motion Picture After one listen, Lucky You, Stepping Stone, Not Alike, and Venom are standout tracks. He spazzes out on Not Alike similar to Rap God.
This album. Just this dude delivers the goods. Bars on bars, word play on word play. I don’t know how these guys assemble these rhymes. How’s does he do it. SMH. Must listen. 5 Stars.
Can’t believe this is the same guy that made Revival. He’s always been a great rapper. Just cut out the generic pop hooks/beats and excessively cringy lines. He finally did that, and it’s resulted in what is probably his best album in over a decade.
I’ve listened to Revival and he sounded under the influence to me. Not saying much considering rap in general, but he sounded out enough to make bad songs.
Its crazy to think 2pac really only had a 4-5 year run before his untimely death. To me, 2pac is the greatest rapper ever, Em is the greatest MC. Biggie/nas right behind Em at 2
Don’t wanna derail things, but I’d take Kendrick’s discography over the other “GOATs” any day (Em, Pac, Biggie, Jay, Nas).
