Frank the Tank and Dekker killed it again. Dekkers stock unfortunately going up and up.

So, it's your fault. I think he'll end up being a solid player in the NBA. Now, what I have to do is watch more Winslow. Doesn't seem to struggle as much finishing around the rim as Stanley, and seems to have more of a change of direction to his game, a terrific athlete, etc...I have to see more, though. I'll admit I haven't watched much for Duke besides keeping an eye on Tyus and/or Okafor. Winslow seems like the real deal, though.

I was big on Winslow to start the season and still like him a lot. I have been impressed with his play throughout the tournament.

Towns did not look unskilled in the post at all against the Irish.

He's much bigger than all the dudes on ND, but he was surely dominant. Automatic in the second half.

Down the stretch Towns had one move, but it was never defended and he rocked it. Great job.

I only caught the first half of the Arizona game, but three things stuck out:
    1. Stan Johnson is a hell of a defender. Winslow is a better offensively player, but I came away impressed again with Stan's D.
    2. Dekker is a stud.
    3. Frank the Tank should be in the convo with the other three big men in the draft.

Like I said, Towns = 2007 Bynum. Not the most polished in the post, but his size is just indeniable.

Willie Cauley-Stein’s end-to-end defense on Jerian Grant on last possession? That's why scouts believe he could guard all 5 positions in NBA

The thing about Towns is that he shot 56% on 2-pt FGs.
Bynum did that at 19...in the NBA.
At age 20, Bynum shot 64% on twos.

I'm not blown away by 56% in the NCAA when you're bigger than everyone. I did think he looked like he had other things going for him - his quickness and athleticism looked good for his size. That's a pretty sick combo.

Not at all. No one is saying he could check Westbrook for 48 minutes, but 99% of bigs (any bigs, let alone 7 footers) in either NCAA or NBA could hustle like that AND contest without fouling.

WCS absolutely belongs in the conversation if the Lakers are sitting at #4 or #5. Dude screams DeAndre Jordan. Let him weak side block, grab boards and you don't have to force feed plays for him to score.

Has anyone watched Przemek Karnowski from Gonzaga? I hadn't heard anything about him until he destroyed UCLA yesterday. He's massive, and that advantage won't be the same in the NBA, but I was also very impressed by his passing in the post. He had a few no look passes to Sabonis for some easy dunks. Maybe a consideration with our second round pick?

I didn't realize that. Good stuff. Now, at the same age, was Bynum as active defensively or show the rim protecting that Karl has shown at this age? I ask seriously because I can't quite remember at this time. Also, Karl has the ability to stretch the defense all the way out to the 3-point line right now. He just doesn't do it currently because Calpari wants him down on the block. Drew did display a nice touch out to the FT line, but I don't remember it being at all consistent or something he had coming straight out of high school.

So, while they Drew comparisons continue, there are some differences, but I do like KAT's potential...

He looked pretty good. Was overshadowed by Sabo is for sure, kid looks phenominal, living up to the family name.

Kentucky's Willie Cauley-Stein is allowing only 21% shooting defending in one-on-one situations on the perimeter this season.

Cauley-Stein isn't going to be able to defend NBA PGs and SGs. I could see him defending 3-5 though. Very, very, very few players could defend 1-5 in their careers, and I'm not ready to put Cauley-Stein in there.

That being said, he's certainly changed my mind about whether or not to consider him at the 5 spot. As much as I love Stan Johnson his lack of explosiveness makes me nervous. He will sometimes settle for little jumpers instead of actually attacking the rim. He's got NBA level defense and hustle, but his shot needs work and I'm not sure he'll be able to drive effectively in the half-court until his shot falls more often.

I wouldn't be upset with Johnson, Winslow, or WCS at #5 for us. Another thing to keep in mind is Randle and Cauley-Stein having some rapport since they played together in college.

And I don't see WCS as DeAndre Jordan. Jordan is built very thickly. WCS is quite, quite slim. He's much more like Tyson Chandler physically.

For discussion sake..... would any of you be alright if we took Frank the Tank with the 4th or 5th pick?

Me personally, I still want to see how everyone does in the rest of the tourney and in our individual workouts we hold at the lakers practice facility before knowing for sure. But if i had to decide today it would still be hard for me to pick him that high even though he may win the player of the year award in collge basketball when its all said and done. he's definitely a top 10 pick but I still have Towns, Okafor, Russell, Mudiay, Johnson as guys I would pick over him.
