Stopped by Foot Locker at lunch, the color is in between Yellow and Gold. Not exactly 100% gold as they look in the press pictures, but definitely better than last year.
I'm definitely getting a gold Jersey with James on the back. No matter if you hate him or love him he's on the back of one the sickest jerseys ever made. It'll be worth a lot in the future. Especially if I get it autographed somehow magically lol
I have the jersey and this is accurate. Not as gold as the old, old school jerseys, but definitely not the yellow from last year. A lot closer to the Kobe-era Yellow.
I'm waiting for a City Edition Bron Jersey. I don't really have a black jersey, but getting one with him on it would be dope.
I think it all depends on who impresses this season, but I will say... they talk about Kuz much more than any of the other young players. Magic and Jeanie love his mentality, attitude, and work ethic. I think he's made himself the least likely to be traded unless he has a setback this season.
Kuzma was a Jeanie pick for that reason and not much the FO or scouting staff could do about it. Sorry WCS .... had to. Just jerking your chain.
I think I’d still wear a Kuz Lakers jersey even if he were traded, he’s that likable. It’s almost impossible to know as has been said by others already, but he seems safest to me. He’s the one front and center promoting the new gold jersey, he’s the one they had do the voiceover for the new jerseys video, I think the Lakers really love him here and think he’s a star on and off the court. I could see Ingram being moved before him even if reluctantly, Zo definitely being moved for the right player, and Hart maybe more safe than that, but also probably the piece needed to close a big deal.
Apparently we only wore the purple jerseys a handful of times last year. Hoping that remains true this season. I just can't see myself warming up to that black stripe. Looks like one of those fan-made, stitched together rags you sometimes see people wearing to games. Like ones that are a a yellow/purple split down the middle thing. Having said that, I could not love the gold and the whites any more than I do. They are perfect.
We were only supposed to get four last year. Icon (yellow) /Association (white) / Statement (purple) / Retro (blue). But then they threw us the City Editions later in the season. My guess this year maybe a Christmas Edition jersey?
It probably won't come out . City edition made/inspired by Kobe was only for the 17/18 season . However there will be a new jersey paying homage to a Lakers legend this season ( I think they called these the lore edition). I guess Lebron will "make' it.
