Lebron, Ingram, Stephenson, Kuzma, Beasley, Svi, Wagner, Wear, corpse of Deng. So that’s 9 forwards now. 10 if you want to count Hart as a 3. Ok...
We'll count Lance as a 2. Maybe even Svi, just to make it more balanced. Wagner is a stretch 5 for now. Deng... who is Deng?
If Stephenson is a 2 I don’t see where his minutes come from behind KCP and Hart. If he’s a 3 they come behind Ingram (and I believe Kuz’s come behind LeBron’s at the 4), which makes more sense to me. As much as Svi looked impressive in summer league, I don’t see that leading to a lot of actual playing time on this crowded roster. Wagner will ger more time by default as you said, a “stretch 5”, which listing him as is definitely a stretch. Zo/Rondo/Caruso KCP/Hart/Bonga? Ingram/Stephenson/Svi/Deng LeBron/Kuz/Beasley/Wear McGee/Zu/Wagner
I think it's: Lonzo/Rondo/Bonga/(Caruso) Pope/Hart/Svi Ingram/Stephenson/(Wear) LeBron/Kuzma/Beasley McGee/Zubac/Wagner With Beasley maybe even playing small ball Center in some lineups. Oh and Deng might as well be trapped in an oil painting somewhere.
I sure hope Bonga isn’t on the depth chart ahead of Caruso. Dude needs to live in the G-League. He needs to sleep in a tent on the South Bay Lakers’ floor. I also think Svi is too tall to be a 2, I think he’s a 3. Beasley I also could see playing small ball 5 off the bench, just to get him minutes, I don’t see many behind LeBron and Kuz.
Bonga ahead of Caruso just based on contract. I think both of them spend a ton of time with the South Bay Lakers. Svi played all over the floor in college and what I saw in SL I think he could play either the 2 or 3 and even the 1 in some weird instances (he started as a point guard in Europe).
I agree with real. People who will initially get minutes are Zo/Rondo (Rondo might start actually) KCP/Hart Ingram/Lance Bron/Kuzma/Beasley McGee/Zu/Beasley (small ball) Rookies will probably play garbage minutes at first, unless Svi is lights out from 3 right away. And then he might play both 2 & 3, depending on the matchup.
