Long-term sustainability, and I agree, man.

I don't think we'll need to chop off all our youth if a player is disgruntled; if that's the case, then count me out. However, if the deal is fair, I'm all ears. In the case of the Spurs, they aren't fair and were not acting in good faith. They wanted to bankrupt us.

Let's see what happens...because I'm thinking the FO wants to add another impact piece before next July.

Wow. What an idiot. 188 million for Tobias Harris? If you want to sink your team into oblivion, that is the kind of deal you make.

See Nerlans Noel. The dumbest player in the NBA.

    Ego is a helluva drug

But it could be that you can’t put a price on happiness, and he might not be happy there.

If that’s the case, LOL and props

Tobias can ball. He should bet on himself.

Every dip**** on the radio keeps bringing up Paul George about Kawhi Leonard. Leonard really needs to just play the year out, not say anything to Toronto or anyone and then come to the Lakers after.

His max next year could get him 40% more dough than that, so it’s a calculated risk.

Guaranteed $ now, versus risking next year’s performance and health against bigger dollars.

Clippers made a more than fair offer. If someone pays that guy 35 mil a year, I’m guessing that’s not going to be Jerry. He’s not THAT good is he?

Tobias is fine, but 80 million is 80 million. He's not a max player. This feels a little like Pope or Noel turning down big contracts.

yeah, my guess is he'll end up getting less than the extension offer when he hits FA. i think the clips may have been saved from themselves here, actually.

It's also an interesting look into a team some people are threatened by in FA since the Clippers look poised to have a ton of cap space.

They're poised to have cap space... the same way we were for years. Cap space with no talent to join is just wasted space. Unless there's a LeBron waiting to come save them or those kids they drafted are way better than expected, the Clippers are in for more disappointment in FA. It looks like they know that though and tried to just keep one of their better players locked up instead of losing them in the summer.
