So I tuned in just in time to see the end of regulation and let's just say Sv3 and Josh are in midseason form from the charity stripe haha.
That was the most intense summer league game I've ever seen. I was in playoff mode personally. Yelling at our guys for mainly not boxing out and giving up all those offensive boards. WOW! We showed more Hart (pun intended) when it was all said and done.
I stand by everything I said about Rathan-Mayes, but we lose that game without him down the stretch. No doubt.
I caught the last half of the 4th quarter and the overtimes. Great game. Sent from my VS995 using Tapatalk
Although I rather be playing for titles in June than July, still cool to repeat. If things hold to form tho, Hart will be the SL MVP and miss tomorrow night's game, which will allow Sv3 to step in and take the SL Finals MVP haha
Think about the players we have on this squad. A #30 and #47 pick leading a bunch of mostly undrafted dead weight. And our #25 pick is injured. And we’re going to the SL Finals with that ragtag bunch. #WinningCulture
Very very very impressive...all these top picks getting beat by our late first and second round picks with undrafted players to boot? Josh Hart is a bad muthaf****....Svi showing he can be a nice role player especially if we have injuries...get this guy in the game with LeBron...has a shot at being JJ Redick/ Kyle Korver/ James Jones type of player for us. Mod edit, be careful about bypassing the swear filter.
I think we tied the Warriors with 12 straight Vegas summer league wins in a row tonight too, right? I don’t know when they did it, but if it was back when they were building the team they have now that’s a nice parallel seeing as how we’re trying to catch them.
I was thinking the same thing. Fans may joke at our expense, probably with some truth to it, that we're proud of a meaningless title. Well guess what? This year we're doing this without our #25 pick, without our top 2 picks from the season before, and we're beating everyone being lead by a #30 and #47 pick. That's unbelievable and a true testament to our scouting department and our culture as a franchise. The cool news is MVP voting I believe is tonight so it's almost a lock that Hart wins MVP this year. Meanwhile a team like Phoenix had the numer one pick DeAndre Ayton, the number ten pick in Mikal Bridges, the number four pick last year in Josh Jackson, and the number four pick in 2016 with Dragan Bender and they are out already. Winning. Culture.
This is ever so important. #30 and #47 are taking it to all these lottery picked players and schooling them. We're building something crazy here and it started in July. Take notice NBA.
...Sexton came back at them. Wagner and Caruso were playing? Would have been no contest. Wagner has the talent. Caruso the experience.
I didn't get to see the Sacto Summer League.. What's the main difference in our level of play..? Just guys figuring out their roles..?
