    Yikes! That's a lot of money for the 3rd best team the West.

    Not as bad as the 4th or 5th best team over in Oklahoma though.

    I'm really not much of a Carmelo fan, and have really hated Dwight since all that FA BS, but I'm starting to come around on this lineup.

    Lonzo, Rondo, Caruso [lose Isaiah,Ennis]
    KCP, Stephenson, Hart
    Ingram, Carmelo, Svi
    LeBron, Kuzma [lose Randle]
    Howard, McGee, Wagner, Zubac [lose Lopez, Frye, Bryant]

    If we could trade Deng and a 2nd (or next years 1st even) for Dwight expirining, we would have ~51m in expiring for next off season.

    That looks like a good balance of youth and veterans, scorers and defenders.

    Carmelo last season looked just about cooked and refuses to take a bench role in Oklahoma.

    Also, I'm with you on needing Carmelo on the bench. But if you had Rondo running the offense, Stephenson and McGee focused on defense, and Kuzma and Carmelo as the scorers it could work.

    I think Carmelo ends up in Houston if he gets bought out.

    Or dark horse: a return to Denver.

    Seems as though we are rolling with this roster and going for Leonard in 2019 FA. I'm not 100% okay with this, because we can't afford to waste the end of LeBron's prime. But that's what all the 1 year contracts indicate.

    At the very least, we will see how good the young guys will become next season. This will be HUGE for them.
