    I want to run with who we have... Given it is unappealing to some who WANT star power and glamour. I just HATE having the pundits really kicking us when we are down. Clowns relishing our struggles.

    LOL. I think I can find posts like this from you at this time of the year going back each of the last 4 years (maybe even to ClubLakers days).

    That said, I am glad Dwight rejected us. That LA rejected us. That Melo rejected us. And I bet we will feel the same way about PG next year too.

    I'm going to basically lay off the other threads for now. Some of you guys are clearly having a tough time coping with Paul George deciding to stay in Oklahoma. The sky isn't falling. The Lakers aren't failures. There's time, there's opportunities. Go for a walk. Enjoy the sunshine. Do something life affirming because we're going to be fine.

    Every Lakers forum is in panic mode, fire Rob and Magic mode because we haven’t landed 2 stars by noon on July 1st of free agency. I don’t know why I expected better, but we are fine. Even if we completely struck out, which we won’t, we aren’t coming back to a garbage team, the future is bright. You’d think the way some people are acting we are coming back to this roster. Always remember how bad it actually WAS at one point and how much better Rob and Magic have our future looking. If you feel depressed, really take a hard look at these rosters and you should feel better.

    Optimism: teams are running out of cap space, we still have a ton, LeBron, DeMarcus, and also other bargain bin free agents like Avery Bradley, Lopez etc are still available. We will have a better team than last year. It's about internal growth as well, I'm hoping this will be the year Ingram or Randle (if retained) will make an all star. #Lakerfaithfulheadsup

    As it stands right now, it looks like we’ll be retaining Randle for what, like 12mil?

    That’s way better than the 16-20mil some of us thought it would take to keep him

    I mean there's very little money out there right now. Sacramento and Atlanta are the only teams with significant money i believe. We could do Julius a solid and then maybe try to lock him up long term at a solid price, or both sides might agree it's better for him to get into the FA pool next year.

    The relationship with Mintz right now will be fascinating.

    I’m just glad the shoe has finally dropped and the LeBron question and the PG question have been answered. Now just let everything else happen when it happens. I will enjoy watching summer league tomorrow.
