Like I said earlier, my one problem with Stanley is that would give us him and Randle in the two positions that Durant can occupy. I realize Durant is a long shot, but if one of our "assets" to help bring him here would need to be traded, I'm not sure that bodes well for us. I think if we really have a chance at Durant (things being said through back channels) we should draft WCS. i actually think that a Stanley Johnson pick means we are not confident about Durant.

You draft Best Player Available; if Stanley is that guy, you take him, IMO. You could always have him come off the bench or play the 3 while Durant plays the stretch 4 role; if need be, you move him in a trade for pieces that fit. The bottom line is you add talented pieces that could potentially become assets that you could possibly to construct the best possible roster to contend.

Move Johnson to SG, problem solved.

I'm not going to plan my team for Durant if it means passing up on talent like Johnson. I want Durant, but in the (much likelier) event that he doesn't sign here in that summer, we need to have a team that's self sufficient anyway.

The more I think about it, the more I think Durant goes to Washington and Westbrook comes here in 2017.

I realize that. But it's questionable as to who is better, SJ or WCS. If there is a question between the two, then you take the best fit.

I favor WCS slighly over Johnson right now, and I'd probably favor a Center because of the scarcity of the position; however, I'm not so inclined to not take a player because we're potentially pursuing a potential long-shot. That's what Durant is right now; a long-shot. He's not on our roster. Whether it's WCS, Johnson, Russell, I'm not so concerned about fit; we need talent.

I'd rather have Stanley and still go for Durant. If you get Durant, hopefully Stanley can play SG. He'd be a matchup nightmare on offense and he has the athleticism to guard 1-4's. it'd just be his shot and creating off the dribble that'd need work. If he can't play SG very well, you can still get him plenty of minutes splitting time at SG and at SF, with Durant playing both the 3 and 4. WCS would be such a great fit next to Randle. I feel ya, and I'm drooling at that possibility too.

I like Stanley Johnson, don't get me wrong. I just think if all things are equal, WCS over SJ might be a better fit for this team. Granted, I think SJ ceiling is higher.

If Frank the Tank Kaminsky guides his team to the NCAA Finals, would you consider him at #5?

Ok, this is the first time I've had a chance to see Stanley Johnson live. From what I've seen so far he reminds me a little of Jimmy Butler, could be a solid pick at 5. If we keep the pick there are going to be some difficult decisions to make no matter which spot we are drafting from.

Yeah, yeah jump on the bandwagon now! Sure! Just call me Cap!

I love what Stan Johnson brings. Winning attitude, solid decision making, and excellent defense.

Myles Turner is incredibly awkward to watch. His movements look like he's a puppet and there's someone operating his arms and legs.

Russell seems to be getting flustered with VCU's defense, that's gotta be a concern. He's had a few nice plays on defense and one great isolation move on offense but otherwise he has been shut down...well his whole team has.

Edit: Hah, now he's hit two threes after getting lose from his defender.

He finished with a nice half...the whole defense is focused on Russell. He has maybe 1 or 2 other playrs that he could count on a consistent basis. Either way, he finished up nicely.

If we could finish 3rd and still wind up with Okafor or Towns...oh boy!

If Phil takes Russell and we get Okafor, expect him to quit the next day and become a special consultant with the Lakers, ie he was a double agent.

Arizona vs. Ohio St; should be a fun game. Arizona will crush Ohio St. hahahaha. Either way, good test for Russell going against Johnson and RJH.

I can't wait to see Russell vs. Johnson. Both looked great today and I'd be excited if either was a Laker. I really wish Mudiay was in the tournament to get closer to an apples to apples comparison.

RHJ and Johnson are NBA caliber defenders; they'll take turns guarding Russell. They could great their whole defense toward him. Arizona is longer than VCU, more athletic, more talented, and just a better team. The Russell on Johnson will be fun, though. I'm going to DVR the game.
