Way to go Philly. Let's hope for an incidental win streak from them. Basketball gods owe it to the NBA.
This is really going to be on us. We can't win any more games that we shouldn't win. Single possession games against Atlanta and Golden State is concerning. We have too many winnable games coming up.
That PHI win is huge for us. Our fate is in our hands now, if we somehow find a way to lose out then we are 3rd at the very worst, likely 2nd assuming MIN wins some games aside from the ones in which they play us.
We're not going to lose out. So lets just stop right there. What we have to make sure is that we only lose to the teams that could be worse than us. I don't want us beating the likes of ATL and GSW again from earlier in the year. Still those 2 games against Philly in the near future are monumental right now..
Well, let's be honest: the Sixers are better than us right now. Defensively, it's not even close. They are playing some of the best D in the league right now, no matter how crazy that sounds... we, on the other hand are playing the worst, or 2nd worst defense.
I mean, the Sixers have 1 less win than us, so that's nice and all, but they already have 3 more losses. We are winning those 2 games against them too, sorry, so unless we lose everything else and they keep winning, not catching them.
I just have zero faith in Philly, and renewed faith in us unfortunately. You guys keep forgetting how pro they are at tanking. All it takes is management telling the coach to lose just the games vs us on purpose and it's a done deal. They don't have a coach going for pointless wins, and they have a GM that is insane.
Oh I don't expect us to lose out, I'm just saying hypothetically that would be the case. And I agree, the games against PHI are going to be huge for us. About as must-lose as it gets, but I don't trust our coach to get it done.
Ben Rosales @brosales12 · 1h 1 hour ago Sixers face the Knicks on Friday and the Lakers on Sunday. They win both and Lakers lose to Utah, will be a tie for the third lottery spot.
Couple things; split games against Philly and Minnesota, and I'll be happy. Continue losing games at the rate we're doing and we'll finish with the 3rd spot. In the vent that we tie, for the 3rd seed with Philly it comes down to a coin flip.
