I'm not against KCP either. I was really happy with how he played the last few months and had a career year shooting from 3. I just would rather use what little money we'd have left after hopefully signing LBJ, PG, and maybe randle to use that on Brook.

One could argue that we could sign him to the vet min, but after the year he had I don't see him taking that even with LBJ on the same team. Would love to be wrong about that.

Seriously people. If the lakers strike out this summer, might as well stop watching Lakers basketball. No damn way they strike out.

Meh, I didn't like KCP. He just tried to play outside his role and it cost us games. He gambles a lot and lets players drive right by him. He's not exactly a real "defender" if you ask me.

If he sticks to being a shot up shooter, playing passing lanes smart, and focus a little more on his man on man D, he'd be okay.

He was good enough for GSW because they were already champs and he had no choice but to fall in line. I would expect him to turn into a bigger joke if he came back to LA now that he’s got a ring.

    I don't buy it, but that's hilarious.

Did the Rockets just do the math and figure out they'll be paying over 40 million for a one legged Chris Paul in 2 years?

Santa, all I wanted for Christmas was to get rid of Deng during the draft...that and to win a championship....and for Lebron to not be a Laker. Ok Santa I understand, I really haven’t been THAT good so far this year. I still want the championship though.

I’d love nothing more than for this to be true. Chris Paul gets screwed for being a nut-punching flopper, Morley gets screwed for being a blatant tamperer, Houston doesn’t retain Paul OR get LeBron, would be too good.

My fear is if Chris Paul doesn’t stay in Houston that LeBron would implement the banana boat plan in LA and force the Lakers to sign Paul with the second max contrac slot.

I’m not really afraid of this. I don’t think Magic and Rob are that stupid. There’s signing the ageless one LeBron and or 28 year old Paul George, trading for 26 year old Kawhi, and then there’s giving perpetually injured, 33 year old Chris Paul a max contract. A couple are a small gamble in betting on 36 and 37 year old LeBron’s health and trading youth for Kawhi’s mystery injury. The other is plain insanity, in giving 36/37 year old Chris Paul anywhere near 40 mil per, if the definition of insanity is indeed doing the same thing over and over and expecting a different result. I’d hope Magic and Rob aren’t insane, and if LeBron demanded Chris Paul, I’d tell LeBron to kick rocks and go take himself and Chris Paul to another team with 2 max slots. Oh wait, there aren’t any.
