Anyone excited about the coming season? Here's the latest trailer for season 5. This is meant for discussing the show, if you've read the book and want to discuss book spoilers please keep them in spoiler tags.
It looks like this season will start to diverge from the books and even go ahead of them in certain plotlines, so as a book reader I'm very excited about this season.
I'm so excited for the season I didn't want to click this thread just incase I saw any spoilers. I haven't even watched any of the trailers for the upcoming season
I won't be visiting this thread often or at least not yet because I have yet to watch a single episode but am going to start real soon. I'm really excited even though from what I have heard from friends is that it starts really slow but definitely picks up. I would imagine so from all the fan fair that there is for the show today
Apparently the first four episodes of this season have leaked. If you know anything about pirating, you'll be able to find them easily. Personally, I'm going to resist watching them because I don't want to binge through them and then have to wait another month before new episodes air. But everyone should stay extra vigilant because due to the leaks, you just know there are gonna be some douchebags looking to spoil things for others.
^Thanks for the heads up, I'll watch them as they come out personally. I hate spoilers as well. Tonight, can't wait!
Man i've thoroughly enjoyed this season of GoT so far. One thing though, is that I can't really get a read on Littlefinger, sometimes I feel like he's about 10 steps ahead of everyone in the game of thrones, and other times I have my doubts: Spoiler Did he reveal his true intentions to Sansa in the crypts? They couldn't be the only ones down there. Though Stannis defeating the Boltons would make sense for him because he can then come back and marry Sansa and claim the North, along with the Vale. That would make him pretty powerful.
Yeah, I'm usually not too picky about the changes that the show makes, but they're really butchering some of the plot lines this season. Spoiler: Book spoilers A main focus of book 4 is Cersei going crazy and scheming to bring down Margaery. This was done so quickly in the show, and using Loras's gay affairs to try to bring down both Loras and Margaery is pretty lame. Especially since in the books, Loras is supposed to be a badass soldier who is out fighting right now. Dorne is complete garbage. None of the political stuff from the books made it. Instead, it's just a simplistic and cheesy kidnapping plot filled with some boring action scenes.
^ yep, all this. Plus Spoiler Jamie's/Bron's "mission", Sir Baristan'...s death, Sansa in Winterfell getting raped by Bolton...
Spoiler I actually think having Sansa in Winterfell instead of Jeyne Poole was a brilliant decision. But yeah, I think they were trying too hard with that Sansa/Ramsay scene. The writers want the controversy, but that was honestly nowhere near as bad as I was expecting. Sansa willingly married Ramsay. She must've known he was going to consummate the marriage. I also surprisingly don't mind them combining Jorah and Griff. Introducing Aegon this season might've been too much. I hope they don't abandon that plotline entirely though. But everything about Dorne is effing atrocious. That storyline is singlehandedly dragging this season down.
yeah my friends watch it and i saw a facebook status about that (they were watching it recorded so a little late) so i went over to watch and caught the ending; not down at all, not down at all.
