    He was highly known this season at Michigan, he’s just very young and raw in a lot of areas. I saw him play a lot, I wouldn’t have guessed 1st round.

    I watch the draft solely for the enjoyment of all of you screaming bloody murder when the Lakers pass on some obscure dude you thought were good (in the 20th of the draft) only to later never hear about him again...

    Guys. This is great pickup. I am not saying that just because I'm german haha. He is a hard worker, lots of skill and excellent rebounder. He will fit right in with our star group ;) ...

    Happy to see a german guy suit up for my favorite team :)

    He really stood out to me in the tournament. He’s a smart, skilled big who plays with 100% effort.

    That effort is probably what won him the pick, something Rob and Magic stressed during workouts.

    I remember watching his parents so nervous during the final four games. Good kid who will work really hard. But I agree with Real, this is a 2nd round pick. We could have gotten a better need here IMO or better available player

    Rob and Magic have an “effort” test at the end of their workouts. Robert Williams had questions over his effort level and it probably didn’t sit well with them.
