Not sure if anyone caught that Wisconsin-Mich St. game. That was fun game. Wisconsin was down 11 with like 8-10 minutes left, and stormed back into overtime to take the tourney.

Frank the Tank look awesome out there, very Pau like. Post moves, vision out of the post, taking it to the rim and finishing, and a clutch outside jumper. Along with one of their PG's who looked absolutely fearless. They also have a very Stanley Johnson-esque player on their team too, big winger. Look out for them.

Sam Dekker the wing you're referring, too? Some mock drafts had him being drafted by the Lakers...

Really? Which mock drafts? I peg Dekker as a mid-teens pick. He's a talented kid. If he falls to the mid-to-late 20s, I think we get a steal.

My fault. I should have phrased that better, man. This was at the beginning of the year since then his stock has jumped considerably, obviously.

If we left the draft with Mudiay and Dekker and then you go pick up DeAndre Jordan... Our team just hit the jackpot. Defense at 3.5 positions (no Kobe and Randle is still a ?) and an efficient offensive attack with Mudiay/Jordan pick and roll.

    Mudiay/Clarkson
    Bryant/Ellington
    Dekker/Young
    Randle/Kelly
    Jordan/Davis/Black

That'd be a hell of a turnaround. Especially if we could get Mudiay working on that 3 right away.

The PG I was referring to was Bronson Koenig, he had that Peyton Siva aura about him. He was just so in control and fearless.

@RandleROFY - I was actually referring to Nigel Hayes. He's a big, big kid much like Stanley Johnson. 6'7, 250lb, 7'2 Wingspace. Ridiculous. He was just overpowering guys on both ends of the floor. Was mocked at #16 on Draft Express early.

Nigel Hayes? DE doesn't have him in their Mock. #16 for Draft Express right now is Bobby Portis out of Arkansas.

I guess it was an old page, or early mock. Updated my post.

Yeah he's not on any draft boards right now. I'll have to look him up a little bit.

Oh, it was for the 2016 draft board. Strange, but okay.

Maybe he's not expected to enter the draft this season?

Probably. But he looked pretty darn good to me. Maybe not quite the consistency that Stanley Johnson did, but stuck out like a sore thumb in that game with his physical tools and posted a big 25pt game and outstanding defense against a tough Michigan St. team.

If you leave the draft with a Top 5 pick and Sam Dekker, you probably win the draft. I'd trade the #26 and the #34 to move up to #20 or where ever and grab him. I think he fits one of our needs, he's underrated already but able to contribute almost immediately. He's the perfect kind of compliment to Nick Young who needs a pretty good chunk of minutes and will bring creativity off the bench.

The only reason NOT to try to get him with that late pick is if you grab Stanley Johnson at #5. If that happens, then I go after maybe Tyus Jones or George Lucas. I'd love for one of these to happen though:

    A)
    Mudiay/Clarkson
    Bryant/Ellington
    Dekker/Young
    Randle/Kelly
    Jordan/Davis/Black

    B)
    M. Williams/Clarkson
    Bryant/Ellington
    Dekker/Young
    Randle/Kelly
    Okafor or Towns/Davis/Black

So you'd take Mudiay over Russell?

I would yes, but I'd take either. It was just an example. My draft ladder remains the same:

    1. Okafor
    2. Towns
    3. Stan Johnson
    4. Mudiay
    5. Russell

I like all of them, but I've got a softer spot for Johnson than most. His teams are always winning for a reason, he's a defensive stopper, and he's ready to play NBA basketball pretty much tomorrow. All he needs is a 3 pointer and he's ready to rock and roll. The others will need time to get acclimated.

Yeah, I like this guy. I've had my eye on him since last year; I'd trade up to get him.

I would love moving up to grab Decker. I think Wisconsin is going to make some noise in the tournament again. Hard to contend with their combination of inside and outside play.
