yeah, i think he'll have a long career. both he and jevon carter are going to be high quality backups, imo. i actually think carter's more like fisher (better defender) in that he's not really a floor general type and isn't a big scoring threat off the dribble. but brunson is. he's kind of like the vanvleet kid in toronto.

Very good point. Brunson's most Fisher-esque quality is his mentality and winner's approach, but their games are different.

    I'll mock draft the Lakers:

#25- Jalen Brunson, G, Villanova, Junior. Hearing the recent rumors, I could see the Lakers going with Brunson late in the 1st. They often take guys that you'd think would slide, but they're convinced will contribute despite some deficiencies. Brunson will be a guy who gives you minutes, probably day one.

#39- Mitchell Robinson, C, N/A, Freshman. I'm hearing he's sliding down boards because he either didn't or couldn't work out for teams due to an ankle sprain. He's too gifted not to take a shot on him even if he spends probably 2 years in the "minors". If you can get him going straight, you can have a DeAndre Jordan or a Hassan Whiteside of your own.

#47- Sviatoslav Mykhailiuk, G/F, Kansas, Senior. Somehow only 21 years old and one of the best shooters in the draft. He's got a ceiling, but his floor is rock solid. He's a better all-around player than he gets credit for. He, Hart, and Brunson make for a really nice bench core and would approach the game the right way.

Top of the draft shaping up.....or it could just be a broadcast to the rest of the teams to send in your proposals if you don't want your guy coming off the board in false hopes that he will fall to you.

Ha ha, he even didn’t put “Grizzlies” at 4., like he knows a trade is happening.

You really think Robinson slides that far? I wouldn’t hesitate taking him if that’s the case, but I dunno, that athleticism, I think some team takes a chance earlier.

Definitely possible, but I've heard teams really hated his predraft process. Didn't do many workouts and the ones he did he looked really raw. I expect him to go early 2nd, but someone could reach.

    Solid draft.

Espns mock had us taking Simons, Robinson and Newman whose a shooter from Kansas. If we don't go all in on Kawhi and get to keep most of our kids, I'd love this type of draft to continue and add developing young talent.

Here's a lil article on Newman who would be a solid pick at #47 imo.

It would be funny too because Josh Hart said he was going to be with Jalen at his place watching the draft tonight. He said he'll also be texting and talking with his other Nova teammates when they get drafted. He's hoping we get someone from his nova team.
