I probably would have given up my left testicle if I had chance to bone Jeanie 5 years ago.

Couldn't be happier for Pete. This dude is a testament to us as fans that we can provide analysis and insight at a high level. I'm going to subscribe to the Athletic not just for his content, but their incredible other lineup as well.

agreed. I tweeted him back that I don't usually like to subscribe to paid content but I've followed Pete from the beginning and will follow him over. I also think Bill Oram and the Kam Brothers do some nice, entertaining work as well.

I hope he's making decent money of some sort since he left whatever he was doing for this full time this past season.

Gonna get some juicy answers on what direction we could be going in by reading the tea leaves depending on what happens leading up/during the draft.

This is the most ridiculous surreal off-season being a Laker fan (since I was a kid) that I can recall by far. And that includes the summer Shaq/Kobe team was formed because there wasn't any talk and we didn't know who the hell was coming.

All the talk about specific players coming here and then it actually happening has not been the way it's worked in the past for us but I guess we can attribute that more to the recently evicted regime than to superstition. They couldn't close a drawer let alone a FA. The only deal I know that Jim and Mitch actually came up with, pursued and got was Nash, (I read Jim Buss brag about it). That is just before Nash broke like a twig. Everyone else (Pau, Malone, Peyton, Artest) just fell into their laps. Ugh I can't believe I'm still talking about those guys. I feel like until Deng is gone their cancer is still with us. Dumping his deal is gonna be like an exorcism for me. For real. I'm gonna be quoting the little poltergeist lady "this house is clean" for days when we dump that contract.

Considering our value to this league, we deserve a "F.U. rest of the league" summer after the anti-Laker CBA of 2011, CP3 and SteinGate. On top of all that Mitch and Jim's embarassing mishandled FA pitches and crappy signings (which was purely our faults but still threw fuel on the already crumbling and burning Laker empire).

Fingers crossed, knock on wood, avoid black cats paths, laces out, rabbit's foot on key chain, we can not eff this up. There's a little pain in my side acting up from the not fully closed wound from CP3s un-signing and we haven't even signed or traded for anyone yet.

Damn. I'm standing under a ladder that has about 9 ravens perched on it where I'm picking up some salt I just spilled while trying to sweep up the glass from the mirror I just broke and a black cat walked in front of me. Yep. One of the ravens just pooped on me.

I've got a feeling something good will happen soon. I don't know what that'll be and honestly that could be just us nailing this draft with three competent pieces (I doubt we keep all three, but it's possible). Something good is brewing though and I'm excited to find out what.

Is something brewing for a team that didn't even sniff the playoffs this year?

    Sure, I'll put this here.

We've finally paid off our draft pick dept from that Nash trade. And that pick, ended up going back to the Suns after traveling across the country.

Ooh, I got a fun analogy.

Steve Kerr would be Thanos with his infinity stones (Curry, KD, Klay, Draymond, Iggy).

The Lakers would have Luke (as Nick Fury) and The Avengers would be

Cpt. America - Bron - America's favorite player.
Iron Man - PG - The superstar.
Spider Man - Zo - The kid trying to be a star.

and depending on who's still here
BI - Black Panther - The young king.
Randle - Hulk - The beast.
Kawhi - Thor - Lost his powers, looking to retool.
Kuz - War Machine - Big offensive arsenal.

    Ha.
