I'd rather risk Cousins than trade for Jordan.

Jordan will likely opt out and be a free agent. And Ramona is apparently saying he wouldn’t demand too much long term money.

If we struck out on everyone, I wouldn’t mind signing DJ on a reasonable deal. Especially if Cousins is demanding near-max money.

If DJ wants to stay in SoCal, it's not like he has a lot of options.

And he sucks at free throws, so there's that.

:D Yeah I think that’s why everyone is so down on that report, because it represents the worst case scenario. Hopefully we don’t have to even consider choosing between DJ and Cousins because we use our cap more effectively.

Just saying though, I like Jordan as a player and think he could be a good fit in our system as a defensive anchor who can run the floor and get lobs from Lonzo.

Gives us "vertical" spacing; sets bone crushing screens, excellent rebounder, elite finisher, and shot a career high in FT% last year.

I don't see JR back if he is signed; and if he decided to take less money long-term, that's a positive.

Not my first choice; and I'm not advocating it, but just pointing to the positive.

In this scenario, you probably add another shooter(s) in this draft...

Troy Brown would be a solid addition.

Interesting to see us having workouts with some of these mid-late 1st types. Lonnie Walker, Troy Brown, Zhaire Smith. Probably more that we don't know about.

#39 is another asset. Not setting the world on fire but better than nothing.

With that said...depending on what team has thr #39 pcik...it could be as valuable as pick #20 or pick #55 lol.

Lakers can trade #39 with a friendly recommendation and that pick immidiately becomes a first rounder :Noddingyes:

I doubt we're adding 3 rookies to this roster, but we'll see...I think they are to package 2 of these picks and try to move up. There must have been a player they really like...IMO

And with the 39th pick, the 76ers (picking for the Lakers) select....

Also, Miami is hunting for a 1st round pick (possible Whiteside trade in the works?)

And those scumbags might be up to something...

I thought Brown was going to San Antonio for Kawhi?

By the way Milwaukee (somewhat ironically given our tampering issue) is a solid bet for a trade up if they're looking for more picks. We could give them our three for #17 and try to nab a lottery dropper.

i would bet against the Cs getting it done...every draft they say they wany to trade up but dont offer enough then they leak what they supposedly offered n cry bout why other team didnt accept

Holiday at 16 has been floating around for a couple days now. That'd give Phoenix an interesting young group. Holiday/Booker/Jackson/Ayton and throw TJ Warren in there somewhere.

I'm not high on Chriss or Bender.

Blurb from Scotto in the Athletic. It's a good point to watch out for what Dallas does here. If they pick a big, it'll change the landscape of FA a little bit.
