Definitely. Let's see some of these guys go out there and just see what we have. It's a tank anyway. Let's see how much exactly can be expected of Ellington. Let's see what kind of load Black and Clarkson can carry. Let's see how versatile Kelly is. Other than that... Most of these guys won't be back or if they will be, we already know who they are.

So Scott isn't implementing sets and drilling his schemes. So what? Would it make a difference with this team? And if we DID do those things and it won us a few games because we're more organized, how would that help? We're trying to lose games obviously. Of course he's going to look like a bad coach right now.

I'd take all of them back next season as our bench unit. I'd love if we were able to give Ellington a long-term, cheaper contract. Something like 4/12 million or 3/9 million or somewhere along those lines. I like him. I think he's a good fit behind Kobe and I think he's a good fit for Byron Scott and what we're trying to rebuild here.

I'd also love Ed Davis back, but man he's going to price himself out of our reach I think.

Oh yeah. I would love to have Davis back as well. I can see all of them contributing over the next few years.

    Randle's pre-season averages: 8.8 points/ 5.8 rebounds/ 1.1 assists/ 0.4 blocks/ 0.3 steals in under 20 minutes per game.
His last two games of pre-season: 17/8/1 with a steal in 24 minutes and 12/9/2 with a steal in 30 minutes.

If you add a player like Okafor, Towns, Mudiay, Russell, or Johnson with him that's an exciting prospect. Man! That's a really cool deal. If we get that pick, I think honestly the Lakers would be more intriguing than the Clippers. Not better mind you, but more intriguing. We've seen what the Clippers can do and now they're topping out at a 2nd Round exit. Having two of the better players under 22 years old on the team would be really exciting to me.

If you just added that Top 5 pick and brought back Davis, Ellington, Clarkson, and Black we're looking at a team that is at least young and exciting. Add in a solid veteran like Wes Mathews or Goran Dragic and we're a fun team to watch. Add in a stud like Rondo, Gasol, or Aldridge (unlikely I know) and we're maybe an 8th seed type of team.

Point being- I like a lot of the pieces we have. I think they're hard workers and gamers, but they're just not that talented. They're incapable of keeping up with the mega talents in this NBA. Add in a star or two and this team doesn't look half bad. A lot of these guys are definitely worth keeping if we can find someone to lead them.

Those are exactly the guys I'd like to see on the team for a while.

Apparently coach agreed with Kobe on the team's post-game behavior. I like that he talked to them about it and essentially told them, "we're better than that"

Damn straight we are. It's been a long frustrating season, but if these guys want to stick around they need to expect winning.

So, the first time Scott seen this was on Jimmy Kimmel? They didn't continue this behavior in the locker room where I've actually witness post-game the same type of behavior after losses? LOL! What a weird season...

I didn't pay too much attention to tonight's game, but apparently afterwards, Scott again ripped into the team to the media and called them "soft" and "selfish." I feel like the only reason he's doing that is to try to put on the act that we're still trying hard to win games instead of tanking. But regardless, it's a bad move.

We're a terrible team. Our record clearly indicates that. We're going to occasionally lose to some of the other terrible teams as well. He called out the team for being selfish and acting like this would be an easy win against New York. Again, I didn't really watch too much of this game, but I imagine that we just got outplayed because we're not very good. But for Scott to specifically rip into the team like this after this loss, he himself is perpetuating the idea that this is a game that we should have won.

It's time to stop the act. Everyone knows we need that pick. Come on.

Byron Scott was last seen trying to coach his way out of this wet paper bag. He is the classic win in spite of coach. His dismissal of Lin and the pick and roll and three pointers and analytics leads me to believe he has so much grit from sticking is head in the sand. The animal that defines his coaching style is the ostrich. Coaching has to be more than old school cliches and manners.

Yikes. Do not like reading that. Jesus I thought I had reached where I really didn't believe this BS from him as indication that he is too pig headed or clueless about the importance of keeping our pick. But after that crap out of his month don't know what to think. Scares me back to where I was.

We simply did.....not.....shoot.....well.....last night and had more turnovers than you'd want. Byron, WTF? [IMG] It's like he has to make sure everyone knows (that don't understand about the pick / tank) that these losses are on the players. Very uncool of him.

I recommend you read this; it has to do with the last two sentences you wrote, LTL. You'll probably notice a trend afterwards...

    Why? Why?

Let's kill the momentum JC has built up, only to watch a player that is out of here this offseason start and audition for his next deal.

Can someone from the FO stop this moron?

WTF!?!?!? I, I, I'm lost. Let's take the one silver lining this season has provided and bench him. Let's take away valuable learning time from a guy we may keep for the next decade only to throw minutes to a dude who is going to bolt at the end of the season. It's almost enough to give up on this team. I mean, seriously. Byron Scott could very well destroy our franchise for the next 5 years. I hate the guy right now. I didn't want that moron from the start, but I was willing to let it go because I thought he was a placeholder coach. But he's now making decisions that will effect this team long after he gets fired after next season. What a f---t***.

Nothing will surprise me with Byron. I know he was a fan favourite... but what a terrible hire.

*sigh* The pick is not safe. Byron seems to want to lose it to send some idiotic "the Lakers don't need the draft" message. Lin won't be here next season, he doesn't need to start or get more time, pointless move. If Byron loses us that pick I don't know that I'll be able to forgive that, dude will be dead to me as a former Laker great.
